p  q  r  pqr  2 .

6. Express x2  6 x  10 in the form x  a2  b .

7. Given that  and  are the roots of the equation 5 x2  3 x  2  0 , find the
2 2

equation whose roots are   2 and 2 .

8. Determine the distance between the points of intersection of the curve
5 x2  6xy  8y2  0 and the line 3x  y  7 .

9. Find the value of x for which log 2 x  log x 4  1.
