Mullen Raw Score Subtotal Chart Column 1 scale. | Scale2. Scales. | Scaled. ‘Scale 5. Locate the first item on the scale that the child failed or scored less than the maximum points possible. ‘The item that precedes the first item with points missed is the Baseline iter, 2. Inthe chart, use Column 1 to find the number that is neatest to and smaller than the Baseline item number. If the Baseline number is equal to one of the item numbers from Column 1, use that item number. 3. Look across the chart to the appropriate column for the scale you are scoring to determine the Raw Score ‘Subtotal (the raw score the child has obtained up to and including the baseline iter). 4. Add any points scored after the Baseline item to the raw score subtotal to obtain the total raw score for that scale. Repeat this process to score all scales. Example This example demonstrates how to find the total raw score for the Receptive Language Scale. 1. If tem 29 is the first item on this scale that the child failed to score the maximum points possible, then the Baseline item is 28, 2. In Column 1, the item number nearest to and smaller than 28 is 25. 3. Then, moving horizontally across the chart from Item Number 25, find the Receptive Language Scale column. ‘The Raw Score Subtotal is 31 (the number of points the chil has scored on this scale for every item from 1 through 25). 4. Add the points scored from Item 26 to the end of the Receptive Language Scale to the raw score subtotal. ‘The child in this example received the following scores: Item 26 Item 27 Item 28 Item 29 Item 30 Item 31 tem 32 (Celling is reached so Item 33 is not scored.) aooowrHE “Therefore, the Receptive Language Scale total raw score is 37 (raw score subtotal of 31 plus 6 points).
