Let’s learn how to make suggestions!
We use the word “suggest” to give someone a general idea of what to do. For example: ‘I suggest playing
board games. They can be a lot of fun.’

Type Structure Example


Writing (don’t) suggest that + subject + verb We suggest that you play video games.
Speaking (don’t) + suggest + verb+ing I suggest reading a scary story.
