COURSE OUTCOMES:
At the end of the course, the students will be able to
1. Illustrate the fundamentals of features and services of Cloud Platforms.
2. Make use of Cloud Computing and Cloud Platforms.
3. Develop applications that seamlessly integrate managed services from the Cloud
Platforms.
4. Appraise compliance issues that arise from cloud computing

Introduction to cloud computing, Deployment Models for Cloud Computing, Pros and
Cons of Cloud Computing, Virtualization, Cloud service models. Introduction to Cloud
Development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

UNIT II (Contact hours: 8


Cloud Service Providers and Their Services. Cloud implementations: Introduction to
GCP, Azure and AWS computing architectures. Artificial Intelligence on the Cloud.
Containers, Storage, Security issues.

UNIT III (Contact hours: 8)


Developing Cloud Applications with Node.js and React, Introduction to Node.js,
Introduction to Server-Side JavaScript, creating a Web Server with Node.js, Working
with Node.js Modules, Callback Functions, Routing, Passing Data and States between
Components. Testing Cloud Applications

UNIT IV (Contact hours: 4)


Serverless Development Overview, Serverless Stack, Lambda Development, Serverless
Functions, Authentication and Authorization, Developing serverless applications.

UNIT V (Contact hours: 2)


Business to Business Model, Automation with logic apps.

STUDIO WORK / LABORATORY EXPERIMENTS:


Lab work targets learning about GCP Console/ Azure/ AWS SDK and Cloud Shell.
Students would be working with Virtual Machines, perform hands-on experiments
based on examining data, getting started with App Engine, use any open-source
software to set up cloud tools and deploy simple cloud services.
