Abstract— The article presents a method for implementing

the "Flat Beam" lighting technology for an LED module made
according to the chip on board technology using several
reflective surfaces.

Keywords— LED (light emitting diode), reflective optical

system, «Flat beam» lighting technology.

I. INTRODUCTION
In the lighting market, lighting emitting diode (LED)

presented. Such design solutions distinguish LED modules Fig. 1. LED modules with different emitting surface areas.

from the standard ones given in GOST R 54350-2015 [2].
LED modules made using chip on board technology can
have different designs depending on the area of the emitting
surface. A relevant issue is the study of the light distribution TABLE I. LED MODULE CHARACTERISTICS

The LED modules are the modules of the Chinese
manufacturer Cooleeon [1] of various sizes, shown in Fig. 1.
The key parameter for choosing these LED modules is a

The optical system can be represented by the following
options:

The luminous intensity curves dynamically change the plane
depending on how the reflective surface is mounted. The
greater the angle of inclination in relation to the LED
module, the more elongated the luminous intensity curve III. CONCLUSIONS
becomes. Thus, the Flat Beam lighting technology can be
implemented using an optical system, which is a
combination of several reflective surfaces for LED modules
with a developed area of the emitting surface.
This method of implementing an optical system allows
you to change the light intensity curve of the LED module,
making it concentrated and narrowly focused.
