Hello Readers, in this note we would cover the useful resources, exam pattern and my experience of writing

SPOM Law Exam – CA Final.

How was it?

It was medium, not that easy not that tough… fair weightage was given by ICAI, However I felt IBC and
winding up case studies were dominant in my paper.

Exam Pattern?

So, the exam consists entirely of case study based MCQs (No direct MCQs asked), some case studies have 5
MCQs, some have 3 or 4 MCQs. As far as I remember, these concepts were tested in my paper:

• Section 230 (relating to creditor’s compromise arrangements)

• Section 197 (Practice the format of calc net profits)
• Prevention of oppression & mismanagement (removal of director’s point)
• FEMA – Commission on real estate sale abroad
• FCRA - OCI Card holder case study
• 1-2 case study models from BOS App
• SEBI Investigation related Ques
• Winding up related timelines
• Strike off and post winding up – case study
• Political Contribution – No limit cap
• LODR and ICDR time limits

Each question carries 2 Marks and total of 50 MCQs. So, on an average one can spend around 20 minutes to
attempt a case study having 5 ques.

“One pro tip here is practice as many case studies as possible!!!”
