Project report on automatic washing machine

" Let us tell about basic of project a automatic washing Machine is electronic device that designed
to wash laundary like cloths , sheet , towels, bedding etc.

Automatic clothes washing system parts are follows:

Staters display panel, switches and dials , motors, power supply and control unit , inner water
level sensors etc.

Finite state machine is used automatic washing machine control a system behaviour and
application are follows :

There is control line in water feed (ow) choice of hot or cold water wash done manually by the user
for simplicity.

In simple washing machine there will be drum motor that have two rotation speed low speed for
wash cycle and high speed for the drain cycle.

To Control the speed of the motor we have two output (signals) from wash controller WS is low
speed and DS is high speed.

Block diagram:

Wash machine controller have two block : FSM and timer block .

Timer is counter that have logic circuit to reset it .

It help to properly regulate the washing machine.

Automatic washing machine controller system are follows :

Control knobs in washing machine :

1​​a . Load select knob

b. Water inlet select knob

C. Mode select knob

d. Program select knob.

Load select knob :

Load - Number of clothes .

Load select - Low , medium, high .

Water inlet select knob :

water inlet - hot ,cold and both are mixed

Mode select knob :

mode - save mode , normal modes

Programme :

Heavy - clothes very dirty

Normal - Normal dirty cloths .

Light - for light clothes

Delicate - for silk clothes.

For block diagram for closed automatic washing machine:

Operation of automatic washing machine :

Fill - water will be filled by pump as per the load knob select.

Agitate - The wash basket will rotate in clockwise direction for 10 revolution, After basket with stop
for 2 second,then rotates 10 revolution in anticlockwise direction . The process will be continued for
specified minute cycle table .

Drain : After agitation the water and detergent are drained.

Spin : During spin , agitation will stationary only the basket will rotate at high speed. The moisture
of clothes are removed through hole inner mettlic basket.

Indictor : machine on - Led on after completion of washing cycle buzzer should will generate.

Working: A slow motor turns a shaft with many disks with bumps in them .

The bumbs activities micro switch which control water on and off, heater on and off the main motor
at different speed, wash and spin and the pump for emptying.

All the literature and review are written of automatic washing machine.
