transparency and trust. Explainable AI (XAI) has emerged as a promising approach to address
these challenges by providing explanations for the outputs and decisions generated by AI models.

This paper explores the role of XAI in fostering transparency and trust in AI-driven customer
interactions. It begins by discussing the importance of transparency and trust in AI-powered
customer experiences, highlighting how a lack of explanations can lead to user skepticism and
disengagement. The paper then delves into the key principles and techniques of XAI, including
feature importance, example-based explanations, and counterfactual reasoning, and examines
