CIRCULAR
This is to inform that our management have planned to organise Anna University approved
Value Added Courses. It is also planned to identify additional courses based on the input from
the stakeholders and committee members and submit it to Anna University for approval to meet
the curriculum of the students. All the HODs and VAC coordinators are requested to attend the
meeting in the seminar hall on 26.02.2019 at 9 am.
AGENDA:
1. Conduction of the Anna University approved Value added courses as per the guidelines
given by the University
2. Selection of additional course for Anna University approval meeting the industry needs.
3. Scope of the courses in the placement and its relevance in meeting industry need

VALUE ADDED COURSE -MINUTES OF MEETING
Date: 26.02.2019
The meeting commenced with the remark of the Principal with the importance of Value Added
Course in the curriculum.
• The Principal addressed that Anna University approved courses along with additional
value-added courses has to followed to fill the Curriculum gap of the students.
• Faculties were identified in the relevant field to facilitate train the trainer module
program.
• The stakeholders and internal committee members suggested the value-added courses
and the courses were given for approval to Anna university as per the norms of CBCS
curriculum, 2017 regulation and it got approved.
• To meet the industry needs the stakeholders and internal committee members
recommended the value-added courses
o Ethical hacking and Network Security
o Machine Leaming techniques
for anna university approval.

• The members and HOD's mentioned that these value-added courses helps the students
to gain knowledge and enables them to meet the industry needs which helps in building
their career through placement opportunities
• The syllabus and number of hours which was approved by Anna University has to be
followed for all courses.
• Framing the Quotation was recommended for incorporating hardware and software
tools desired for the courses.
• The members instructed students have the option to choose the value-added courses
according to their requirements and willingness.
• Time Table and Attendance to be scheduled and maintained as per Anna University
guidelines.
• Guest Lecture from corporate people was also planned which facilitate the students to
equip themselves with latest technologies pertaining to the courses chosen by them.

• List of students were identified based on student requirements and willingness

• Syllabus and number of hours for conducting the newly identified value added course
has been framed and verified with committee members. The identified courses were
sent to the university for approval and the corresponding courses got approved by Anna
university.
