0.1 PREFACE

0.1.1 The objective of this Operations Controlled Document is to specify Electrical Safety
Operational Safety Procedures for all Al Furat Petroleum Company High Voltage and
associated Low Voltage electrical systems.

0.1.2 This document is intended for use by Al Furat Petroleum Company and its
nominated contractors and consultants.

0.1.3 Company approval and authorisation of Operations Controlled Documents and


revisions of existing Operations Controlled Documents shall be in accordance with
OCD 1.AAG.1.002.

0.1.4 Responsibility for the technical content of this document rests with the Custodian. The
Custodian of this document is the Operations Electrical Discipline Head.

0.2 USER GUIDELINES

0.2.1 It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that he is using the latest revision of this
Operations Controlled Document. Furthermore this Operations Controlled Document
may be modified from time to time by revision or update to individual sections or
pages. Advice on the latest status of this Operations Controlled Document may be
obtained from the Custodian.

0.2.2 Any user of this Operations Controlled Document who encounters any inaccuracy or
ambiguity is requested to notify the Custodian immediately in writing.

0.2.3 Words which are printed in Bold Letters in this document are those which have been
assigned a special meaning by being defined in the Electrical Safety Rules, Section 2,
Subsection 2.1.
