teknologi dan kiat-kiat (tips), dengan memperhatikan fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan
unsur kebahasaan, secara benar dan sesuai konteks

A. What is Procedure text?


Procedure text is a kind of text that shows a series of orders of making something, doing
something or getting somewhere.

B. The communicative purpose of Procedure text: to describe how something is achieved


through a sequence of actions or steps.

C. Type of Procedure text:


1. recipe
2. manual

Recipe procedure text: It is part of procedure text, it is a list of ingredients and a set of
instructions that tell you how to cook something.
Generic structure:
a. Goal/ Aim: It contains the purpose how to make something.
b. Ingredients: This parts describes the elements we need to make something.
c. Steps/ Methods: This part describes the set of instructions.
Manual Procedure text: It is a part of procedure text, It is a book or pamphlet that
contains explanations about how something should be done in sequenced steps.
Generic structure:
a. Goal/ Aim: It contains the purpose of doing or operating something.
b. Materials: This parts describes the tools we need to do, make, or operating something.
c. Instructions: This part describes the set of instructions.
