While researching for various masters programmes, I was looking for a course that would enhance my

previous academic curriculum along with more practical orientation and understanding, that’s why I
choose this particular masters course because there is a sense of continuity between the two and the
fact that your university offers a professional internship is the main reason for selecting your university.
While going through the course content, the modules that appealed to me the most were Innovation in
Construction and Business Management, because of the involvement of improvisation and managing
financial aspects respectively. Also, in my bachelor’s course, I had the opportunity to briefly learn about
some similar modules like Construction Law & Contract, Project Management Methods and Sustainable
Construction; it will be very interesting to learn these modules in detail with more practical
implementation of the same in the construction industry. Most importantly, with double accreditations
to this course –RICS and CIOB makes me more confident in choosing the right university and right
course.

With the University, having alumni getting opportunity to work with organizations like Turner &
Townsend, Miller Construction and Acivico gives me another positive aspect to choose this course in
your prestigious university. By studying in your university, I aim to gain the best education, practical
experience and professional exposure about this field, taking maximum advantage of the affiliations that
the university has with various leading organisations of this field.

I also have some experience about managing the accounts and supervising the progress of work in
construction of a residential property. I aim to polish my skills and excel in my business that I aspire to
take up once I am back to my home country and this is definitely possible with the choice of course I
have made and considering a professional placement which will help me to learn more about team
building, budgeting, project handling right from planning to execution. After completing the masters, I
intend to come back to my country and assist in planning various construction projects run by
government that are upcoming because of the growth and development taking place in the region and
the kind of investments that are being made in this industry and since I have a bachelors degree also of
the same field helps me to become more proficient and efficient in my field.

I thus request you to give me a chance to be a part of this course curriculum in order to achieve my
dream and be able to express to my more aspiring students here the importance of taking this course
with BCU,
