THIRD CIRCULAR
Dear Delegate,
I wish to inform you that the 37th Session of Rajasthan History Congress is to be organize on 24-25
Feb, 2024 at Mahila P.G. Mahavidyalaya, Jodhpur. The City of Apanayat Jodhpur, eagerly awaits
your arrival in its unique historical-cultural ambience.
The sessions of the Congress are meant strictly for the members of the Rajasthan History Congress.
Please encourage your colleagues, friends, research scholars and students to enroll as Annual/Life
members of the Rajasthan History Congress. Previously registered annual members are also
requested to renew their membership for the year 2023. Membership forms can be downloaded from
the website www.rajhisco.com. For membership norms and requirements for submission of papers,
please refer to the first circular sent by Prof. S.P. Vyas. However, these are been again attached for a
gentle reminder.
The members are requested to contribute research papers on any aspect of the History and Culture of
Rajasthan. The research paper should be based on original research and should provide new source
material or new interpretation. It should be restricted to ten typed pages in double space or 3000
words including Abstract (along with keywords), but the word limit should be strictly followed or
the paper would not be entertained in proceedings, only summary would be published. The paper
in duplicate along with its summary & soft copy may be sent to the undersigned latest by 15th
February, 2024.
Membership Norms :
1. For New and Annual Members: Only members can become delegates at the session. Annual
members and New members are requested to send a Demand Draft of Rs. 800/- as membership fee in
favour of Rajasthan History Congress, payable at Jodhpur, addressed to Dr. Manorama
Upadhayaya, Treasurer, Rajasthan History Congress, Mahila P.G.Mahavidyalayaya, Kamla
Nehru Nagar, Soor Sagar Road, Jodhpur-342009.
2. Life Members: Any person can avail the opportunity of becoming a Life Member for Rajasthan
History Congress. Membership fee for Life Membership is Rs. 7500/-. Demand Draft should be
sent in favour of Rajasthan History Congress, payable at Jodhpur, addressed to Dr. Manorama
Upadhayaya, Treasurer, Rajasthan History Congress, Mahila P.G.Mahavidyalayaya, Kamla
Nehru Nagar, Soor Sagar Road, Jodhpur-342009.
It is essential that all copies of papers should bear the full names of the authors, their e-mail
ID, telephone Nos. and address (both Office and Residence) at the top of the first page.
Members are requested to submit their papers to the undersigned by 15th February, 2024.
Papers received after the deadline will not be included for presentation.
Papers received by the date fixed in the circular will get precedence and will be accommodated
in the sessions for two days, and those received after the last date fixed will be listed
separately and will only be accommodated on the last day whenever if possible.
Each paper should be sent in two copies, which should be word-processed, double-spaced,
footnotes to be similarly spaced and put at the end, and a CD, with the hard copy, should be
provided. Only those papers which are submitted in the given format – Page maker (with
Shree Lipi for articles in Hindi)/ MS Word (with Krutidev 010 for Hindi and Times New
Roman for English) will be eligible for publication.

Footnotes should be numbered continuously for the whole paper (not per page).
When using references to printed books, the classical system should be used, under which the
name of the author, the title of the book, and the place and year of publication come in that
order. Well-known abbreviations for journals, eg., JIH, JASB, EL, IHR, IESHR, should be
used.
If maps, diagrams, and photographs are furnished, these should be listed and be in such form
as to be ready for printing.
Two copies of the summary of no more than 300 words should be invariably provided.
If online references has been used, full details of the link should be given.
A certificate/ undertaking should be mandatorily attached by the author certifying the
article submitted has not been presented or published earlier.
The delegates are requested to fill up the enclosed Delegate Registration Form and mail it to
Principal on the email id: principalmmv09gmail.com The Delegate Fee of Rs. 1000 can also be
deposited in cash at the time of Registration. Membership enrolment/renewal and Delegates
registration counters will remain open at the venue of the Conference on the first day i.e. on from
8.30 A.M. onwards. You are, however, requested to get yourself registered well in advance to ensure
suitable lodging and boarding offered by the hosts.
Delegates' camp will begin from the evening of one day before.
