More exciting
golf news!
Wowsers! This past Saturday,
Rachel Boese got a hole in one
on the Highland View Par 3
course in Butte. She was using
her four iron from 125 yards out
on her final hole, #9. And then
on Tuesday, June 9th, Rachel
shot yet another hole in one
during the Women’s League
on the Sunnyside Golf Course!
Using her five iron on hole #4,
she popped it over the trees and
into the hole it went! “I didn’t
even see it, I just assumed it
was on the green, but couldn’t
find my ball, she said. “So I
went and looked behind the
green, and it wasn’t there either.
So then I went and looked in the
hole, and there it was!” A pair of
holes in one in four days... there
probably aren’t many, if any,
professional golfers with this
bragging right! Scott Markle told
Rachel yesterday afternoon that
the last hole in one he shot was
in 1984, and he told Rachel, “I
hope it doesn’t take you that
long to get another one.” (after
the one in Butte) And while
Rachel was on the route, D&G’s Sam Morehouse in her softball glove to start playing golf in 2022, but
said, “Maybe you’ll get another one tonight during she puts in the time, and who knows? This is Rachel
league.” Well, there you have it folks. A hole in one on hole four at Sunnyside, the first recorded hole in
has been elusive to many fine golfers. Rachel traded one of the season.

Refuse District #1 is asking the public to please partner
with us and T&R Trucking to CALL IN FULL CONTAINERS.
It is very important for the correct operations of container
sites. T&R Trucking has to be able to open the splash plates
and shut the lids when picking up a roll-off container to not
lose debris/garbage and keep sites clean.
The Valley County Refuse District #1 appreciates your
help in this matter.
