VM BS
If factorytalk on a VM is requiring a log in, there are three things to try:
1. If using Hyper-V for the VM, turn off enhanced session mode as that causes the VM
to show the Hyper-V server as the host. When factorytalk looks at your computer, it
checks to make sure the host name and the computer name match, so when enhanced
session is on this part breaks, causing the log in box to appear.
2. Permissions for all logins to the computer need to be granted. This can be done by
going into the admin console, selecting local, right clicking on Networks and
Devices, clicking security, and checking all boxes for all types of logins.
3. The VM needs to be in the network directory, which can be accessed through the
admin console, selecting network, and adding the desired computer under:
Network -> System -> Computers and Group -> Computers
This will have to be done on a computer already on the network.
