Intel® Active Management Technology requires the platform to have an Intel® AMT-enabled chipset, network hardware and software, as well as connection with a power source
and a corporate network connection. With regard to notebooks, Intel AMT may not be available or certain capabilities may be limited over a host OS-based VPN orwhen
connecting wirelessly, on battery power, sleeping, hibernating or powered off. For more information, see http://www.intel.com/technology/iamt.
64- bit computing on Intel architecture requires a computer system with a processor, chipset, BIOS, operating system, device drivers and applications enabled for Intel® 64
architecture. Performance will vary depending on your hardware and software configurations. Consult with your system vendor for more information.
No computer system can provide absolute security under all conditions. Intel® Trusted Execution Technology is a security technology under development by Intel and requires
for operation a computer system with Intel® Virtualization Technology, an Intel Trusted Execution Technology-enabled processor, chipset, BIOS, Authenticated Code Modules,
and an Intel or other compatible measured virtual machine monitor. In addition, Intel Trusted Execution Technology requires the system to contain a TPMv1.2 as defined by
the Trusted Computing Group and specific software for some uses. See http://www.intel.com/technology/security/ for more information.
†Hyper-Threading Technology (HT Technology) requires a computer system with an Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor supporting HT Technology and an HT Technology-
enabled chipset, BIOS, and operating system. Performance will vary depending on the specific hardware and software you use. See
www.intel.com/products/ht/hyperthreading_more.htm for more information including details on which processors support HT Technology.
Intel® Virtualization Technology requires a computer system with an enabled Intel® processor, BIOS, virtual machine monitor (VMM) and, for some uses, certain platform
software enabled for it. Functionality, performance or other benefits will vary depending on hardware and software configurations and may require a BIOSupdate.
Software applications may not be compatible with all operating systems. Please check with your application vendor.
Other vendors are listed by Intel as a convenience to Intel's general customer base, but Intel does not make any representations or warranties whatsoever regarding quality,
reliability, functionality, or compatibility of these devices. This list and/or these devices may be subject to change without notice.

3 Intel® NUC Pro Software Suite - Configuration Tool
The Intel® NUC Pro Software Suite – Configuration Tool provides step-by-step instructions to configure the target NUCs and set
up the primary and secondary connection between the target system and displays.
Do not install the configuration tool on the target NUCs. Instead, install the configuration tool on a host PC that is on the same
network as the target NUCs.
If you have not installed the configuration tool yet, refer to the installation section for Windows and Linux.
1. To begin configuration, Launch the ‘Intel® NUC Pro Software Suite – Configuration Tool’ and switch to the New tab.
NOTE: Strictly follow the steps in the Failover Configuration Illustration animation for a successful connection.
3.1 Discover
Illustrates network setup details and displays NUCs discovered in the network
1. In Step 1, NUCs will be auto discovered and the available NUCs IP Addresses on the Local Network/Wi-Fi/LAN can be seen.
2. Select NUCs from the discovered NUC list for configuration and click Next.

Note: The user should select a minimum of 2 NUCs and up to 4 NUCs for Player Failover configuration.
Connect the NUC and display as shown in the illustration of the Config Tool UI.
On Successful connection, the topology will be displayed on the config tool and NPSS.
Note: In middle of the configuration if we observe that the IP address automatically changed in either of the NUC then we need to do
Startover and do the configuration again.

NUC Pro Software Suite (NPSS):
Note: If the primary port connection is not established correctly between NUC and Display, an error message displays both in the
config tool and in the Intel® NUC Pro Software Suite as below:
The Secondary connection (Dotted Line) must be disabled as we are configuring the Primary Connection to complete the configuration.
Note: If the Secondary Connection is not disabled, an error message displays in both the Config tool and Intel® NUC Pro
Software Suite as below:
Configuration Tool:
The animation will show the mechanism for configuration through dotted lines.
3.3.2 After a successful connection, the user can see a secondary connection (Dotted Line) between the display and NUC ports.
3.3.3 During configuration, Persistent Display Emulation will be automatically enabled/disabled. This feature allows for toleration of display

connectivity interruptions without the operating system redetecting and rearranging the display layout.
3.3.4 A message will be prompted stating that NUC will reboot to enable Persistent Display Emulation on the Configuration tool if it is not
enabled.
3.3.5 NPSS will show the below message if Persistent Display is not enabled and then reboot.
