Manual transmission Vehicles with 4WD NOTE:
• The vehicle may be equipped with various systems (e.g. emergency brake assistant, adaptive cruise
control or tow-away protection alarm) which must be deactivated before towing.
• If these systems are not deactivated, the towed vehicle may apply the brakes automatically, or an alarm
may be triggered.
• Comply with the local rules and regulations when towing and/or transporting the vehicle, including speed
limits as well as rules about vehicle attachment and use of vehicle lights.
• Never tow a vehicle with a faulty transmission on a driving axle.
• When towing the vehicle with a towrope or a tow bar, the function of the brake pedal and the power
steering may be impaired thus making braking and steering the vehicle more difficult.
Towing with a towrope or tow bar:
• Maximum towing speed: 30 km/h
• Max. towing distance: 50 kilometers.
Towing with lifted front axle:
• This type of towing is not allowed by the manufacturer.
Towing with lifted rear axle:
• This type of towing is not allowed by the manufacturer.
The recommended towing method is transportation on a flatbed or a trailer.

results in an erroneous measurement of the gear oil level which may cause malfunction of/damage to the
transmission
