CLASS - TWO HALF-YEARLY PROJECT ASSIGNMENT

HOLIDAY HOMEWORK
FOR SUMMER VACATION: 2024 - 25

ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROJECT

NOTE: THE PROJECT IS OF 10 MARKS. THE MARKS OBTAINED WILL BE
ADDED TO THE HALF-YEARLY EXAMINATION.

INSTRUCTIONS :
• The students should use a four lined interleaf assignment notebook for writing the
project.
• The students need to fill the Index Page. (S.No.; Topic; No. of pages used – e.g. 1 to 4)
• The notebook should be covered properly with a coloured paper and name slip to be
pasted on it.
• Details such as – Name; Class; Roll No.; Adm. No.; Subject and Subject Teacher’s Name
to be written on the 1st lined page of the project assignment notebook.
• The students should begin writing the project from the ruled side of the next page.
• Each plain side should have a picture of the given Gender along with its opposite
Gender.
• Paste only one picture, along with its opposite Gender, on one plain side.
• The pictures should be outlined with black colour pencil; and the Gender should be
written below each picture and underlined.

TOPIC – Gender

• On the lined side – Write the opposite Gender of the given words:
Husband, Grandmother, King, Cock, Lioness.
• The Gender along with its opposite Gender to be written on the lined side, in front of
the pasted picture. (One Gender on each lined side.)

ENGLISH LITERATURE PROJECT

NOTE: THE PROJECT IS OF 10 MARKS. THE MARKS OBTAINED WILL BE
ADDED TO THE HALF-YEARLY EXAMINATION.

INSTRUCTIONS :

project.

• The students should begin writing the project from the ruled side of the next page.
• Each plain side should have a picture related to the Poem.
 • The pictures should be neatly drawn, coloured, labelled and outlined with colour
pencils.

TOPIC – Kites (Poem)

• Write the poem – ‘Kites’ neatly on the lined side.

• Leave a line after every stanza.
• Put the punctuation marks (Capital Letters, Commas, Full Stop etc.) wherever required.
• Draw and colour a kite on the first plain side (in front of the lined page where poem is
written).
• Another picture related to the poem to be drawn and coloured on the second lined side.

MATHEMATICS PROJECT
NOTE: THE PROJECT IS OF 10 MARKS. THE MARKS OBTAINED WILL BE
ADDED TO THE HALF-YEARLY EXAMINATION.

INSTRUCTIONS :
• The students should use a single lined interleaf assignment notebook for writing the
project.
• The students need to fill the Index Page. (S.No.; Topic; No. of pages used – e.g. 1 to 4)
• The notebook should be covered properly with a coloured paper and name slip to be
pasted on it.
• Details such as – Name; Class; Roll No.; Adm. No.; Subject and Subject Teacher’s Name
to be written on the first lined page of the project assignment notebook.
• The students should write the questions on the ruled side and it should be solved on the
plain side of the project notebook.
• The students should use only crayons or pencil colours for colouring the pictures.

TOPICS – (1) Ordinal Numbers

(2) Lines
(3) Tables

• Draw stairs of different colours and write the Ordinal Numbers 1 – 10 on them.

Eg. - (for the first stair)

1 - First

• Draw different types of lines and make 2 objects using each of them.
• Draw and colour any rectangular object and write the Tables of 6, 7, 8 and 9 inside the
object.

ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION PROJECT

NOTE: THE PROJECT IS OF 10 MARKS. THE MARKS OBTAINED WILL BE
ADDED TO THE HALF-YEARLY EXAMINATION.

TOPIC – The House We Live In

• On the plain side draw, colour and label the house, given on Page No. 9 in Periwinkle Big
Art and Craft Book – 2.
• On the lined side, in front of the picture, write if the house is a Pucca house or a Kutcha
house.
• Name the materials used for building the house that you have drawn. (on the lined side)
• Also, name a place where you find the type of house that you have drawn. (on the lined
side)

HINDI PROJECT
