₍ᐢ ̥ ̞ ̥ᐢ₎ ¦Icon Pack Set Ups!

🌷¦ Help & Discord

Please feel free to message me anytime for help! I am a bit on the slower side
though for replies due to the amount of work I have but you are welcome to join my
discord for help from my community, myself and even the developer of HandyTheme
(ios)!
Here is a link for my discord server ♥︎ https://discord.gg/YXC3QSZJMH
If you are a Patreon member please let me know in the #introductions channel and
include your Patreon name so I can upgrade your role!

🌷¦ How to install on iPhone & iPad

There are 2 ways to install icons on an ios device, I’ll walk you guys through
both!

Please note that the red notification bubble doesn’t work with custom icons.

🌱Using HandyTheme (free app and recommended)

o Download Handy from the Appstore

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/handy-icon-widget-
themes/id1595736086
o Open the link to one of my packs (https://s.handyapp.io/p/u/cremechii)
and purchase it OR
o You can unlock the pack on the app with a code, this code is
provided when you purchased the icon pack, it can also be found
in the dropbox link of the icon pack on a notepad.
o To use a code on Handy, please go on any pack and tap the triple
dot “…” in the upper right corner and select “Enter Passcode”
o Click install to install the icons
o Link the icons to the apps you want them on, some packs have a
few already linked like Camera, Instagram etc but you can choose
to unlink them and put them on any of your apps!
o Once this is done you’ll be asked to export your linked icons and
install a profile, allow this and go into your settings to install the
profile.
o This will install all the icons for you on your home screen! You can
remove this profile anytime and it’ll remove all the icons too.

For widgets – Go to your home screen, hold and press anywhere

that’s empty
o Press the + icon that comes up either in the top left or top right
corner to add a widget
o In the search bar, look for “Handy”
o Add the Handy widget you want in the size you want
o Once added, tap and hold on the widget to edit it’s design to one in
the pack!

A few things to note:

-They are also process of removing the app window jumping when
you open your custom icons.

🌱Using shortcuts (the standard tedious way to set up on ios)

Okay so using shortcuts is going to take a long amount of time just bare
this in mind!

You’ll need to set up a shortcut, one by one for each icon you want and
on top of that there will be a banner pop up each time saying you’ve
opened the app. There are ways to remove this but are just as tedious
and doesn’t work for everyone yet!

Here are some tutorials to help you guys set up or you can read mine
below.

Written https://www.macrumors.com/how-to/change-app-icons/

o Download all the icon images you want to use from the dropbox
o Open the Shortcuts app
o Add a new shortcut by tapping the + button in the top right, tap on
scripting and then select “open app” as the action/script and
select the app your want to open
o Tap on the three dots in the top-right corner and add it to your
home screen
o Tap the shortcut app icon and change the image to what you want
through “choose photo”
o Rename the app to what you want it to be
o Tap add~ and rinse, repeat for every other icon!

For widgets – Go to your home screen, hold and press anywhere

that’s empty
o Press the + icon that comes up either in the top left or top right
corner to add a widget
o You can use a photo widget to set up one of the images
o You can also download ColorWidgets or PhotoWidget for more
customization like adding a clock or date over your image!

¦TRANSPARENT ICONS ¦

For IOS you cannot actually set up transparent widgets and icons, it's only an
"illusion" where you use the background of the image that matches the
wallpaper and it looks transparent. Only Android can use these transparent
icons/widgets

🌷¦ How to install on Android Devices

There are a few ways to install them on android as well but I highly
recommend using Nova Launcher as it’s the most customizable and
easiest to set up. I’ll link a tutorial for the non-launcher method as well.

🌱Using NovaLauncher & MagicWidgets / Widget Apps (free & safe

to use)

You can join their discord for specific questions if necessary!

https://discord.com/invite/novalauncher

o Download Nova Launcher from the PlayStore

o The launcher will change your UI a bit, but you can tweak and edit
this as you please through the settings of the app
o Look for “Nova Settings” on your device to go through all the
settings, you can even change things like your grid layout, icon
sizes, icon shape etc under these “Home Screen / App Drawer /
Look & Feel”
o From there, on your home screen tap on any app and select the
little pencil icon to edit it
o Rename the app if you want and to change its icon tap the icon
and select from your gallery which image you want to replace it
with!

Widgets

o To add a widget, I like using Magic Widgets as it’s more

customizable, you can download it from the PlayStore. There are
many other options too that you’re welcome to look into simply by
googling “widget apps for android”, I also think KWGT Kustom
Widget Maker is a very nice alternative!
o Tap and hold your screen to bring up widgets to add
o Add one from Magic Widgets with the size you want
o Tap on it to customize it
o You’ll get a variety of options like overlaying time or a calendar on
your images!
o You can also readjust the size and padding of the widget by
tapping and holding it for editing options

🌱Using xIcon Changer (non-launcher method) or other icon changers

If you don’t want to use a launcher you can do it the common way that most
other’s change their icons. One of my former Patreon member has given
consent to use his tutorial on setting up icons which you can watch here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mk_80CLHMeU

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIwl4XjAr3Y

For Widgets you are still welcome to follow the same steps as above by
installing Magic Widgets or KWGT-Kustom Widget Maker

There are other apps to installing such as “Any Icon”, please check out the
youtube videos for help!

🌷¦ How to install on Desktop

You can easily use the icons (transparent recommended) for your PC or macbook!
You will need to first convert the icons you want from the png file into a compatible
file here https://icoconvert.com/ or https://cloudconvert.com/png-to-ico (there are
other sites too!) then follow the steps below.

On PC it’s quite straightforward, to customize:

o Right-Click on a folder
o Go to the Properties
o Click on the “customize tab”
o Click on Change Icon

For an application like discord/ desktop /recycle bin:

o Right-Click on the app and make a shortcut of it
o Right-Click on the shortcut
o Go to the Properties then “Shortcut”
o Click on “change icon”
