A. ACTIVITY

The teacher will split the class into two teams. Then, the teacher will display images to
the students, who will attempt to identify words related to the topic. The winning team
will receive a reward from the teacher.

1. What is meant by speech?

According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, Speech is defined as the communication or


expression of thooughts in spoken words.

2. Did you know that there are different types of speech according to delivery?

3. Can you give me one example of types of speech according to delivery?

Excellent, that's the essence of (Possible Answers: Manuscript, Memorized, Impromptu,


and Extemporaneous Speech). Now, let's dive deeper as I elaborate on the definitions of the
remaining delivery types and provide illustrative examples to facilitate your identification of
each type.

D. APPLICATION

The teacher will employ an imaginative approach to organize the students into four
groups. Each group will appoint a representative to draw lots. Subsequently, the students will be
allocated 5 minutes to craft a speech aligned with the topic drawn. Following this preparation
time, they will present their speeches before the class, with evaluation based on the teacher's
predetermined rubrics.
