1.1 Human rights violation term
human rights violation means hurting, disrespecting or acting against someone’s rights.
1.2 Eight human rights that are violated

● Right to safety and security - to be protected against the marketing of products and services
that are hazardous to health or to life.
● Right to education - The right to education is a fundamental human right. Every individual,
irrespective of race, gender, nationality, ethnic or social origin, religion or political
preference, age or disability, is entitled to a free elementary education.
● Right to life for all - This means that nobody, including the Government, can try to end your
life. It also means the Government should take appropriate measures to safeguard life by
making laws to protect you and, in some circumstances, by taking steps to protect you if your
life is at risk.
● Right to healthcare - The right to health is the economic, social, and cultural right to a
universal minimum standard of health to which all individuals are entitled.
● Right to security - not to be deprived of freedom arbitrarily or without just cause.

● Right to dignity - is an acknowledgement of the intrinsic worth of human beings.

● Right to safety - to be protected against the marketing of products and services that are
hazardous to health or to life.

Activity 2
2.1 It is Time To Exercise Your Right To Vote As A Responsible Citizen
My community is aware of the upcoming elections because of the campaigns that encourage
voters to register and participate in the upcoming elections and the social media posts, the
changes I hope to see in my community after elections is to have an access to healthy water and
have a clinic that is not far from our community, any Citizen of the country that is 18 years old
and above can vote during elections, as we vote the benefits may be to contribute to a stable and
peaceful society and to influence the direction of public policy, laws, and decision making.
According to my research some candidates keep their promises while others do not , candidates
may feel obligated to fulfill their campaign policies to maintain public trust and accountability
while other candidates may not have the necessary political capital, resources or commitment to
fulfill their promises, in conclusion while some other candidates do keep their promises, many
factors can influence their ability or willingness to do so, voters should remain vigilant and hold
elected officials accountable for their campaign promises.
2.2 Why human rights violations still exist in the country.
Human rights violations still exist in the country despite government efforts to address the due to
corruption, political instability, limited access to education and weak institutional frameworks
that have inadequate laws, policies and enforcement mechanisms that fair to protect human rights
effectively.
