transfer takes place. You also define whether you want to perform the transfer during the
year (with the transfer of posted transactions and depreciation of the current fiscal year)
or at the end of the year.

Calendar date on which a fixed asset is transferred to the SAP system. The management of the fixed asset
starts on the transfer date in Asset Accounting.
Use
You must specify the transfer date before starting the legacy data transfer.
The legacy data transfer can take place at fiscal yearend or during the year:
Transfer at the end of the fiscal year:
In this case, the transfer date is identical with the fiscal year end. All transactions starting in the new
fiscal year are then carried out only in Asset Accounting. The transfer occurs with the cumulative
values at the end of the fiscal year.
Transfer during the fiscal year:
The transfer date can also be during the fiscal year. In this case, the asset values are transferred at
the end of the previous fiscal year. Apart from the cumulative values at the end of the fiscal year, you
must also transfer the transactions that have occurred since the start of the fiscal year. The
depreciation posted in the year of the transfer can either be transferred from the legacy system or
calculated in the SAP system and then posted with the depreciation run.
Dependencies
The system automatically derives the last closed fiscal year from this date.
Example 1:
Transfer date = 12.31.YYYY
=> last closed fiscal year = YYYY
Example 2:
Transfer date = 03.31.YYYY
=> Last closed fiscal year = YYYY-1
