Rebranding Nieves Álvarez

Nieves beauty is a cosmetic brand run by the spanish model Nieves Álvarez. We have analysed the
branding and we concluded that it needs a rebranding in spite of being a new cosmetic brand.

In the first place, the logotype must be changed, it has to be more lavish and elegant due to the
target they are addresing to. Their target are women with a high economic level, this is reflected in
the prices. Moreover, changing the logotype will elevate the brand and connect it with high luxury
brands. However, the typography mantains because is minimalist and it fits with the visual identity.

Secondly, we are going to change the corporative colours, the brand uses a light colours palette so it
can be related with a non sumptuous brand. Nieves Beauty includes gold pink and white, they don’t
use more colours, in this way we are creating a new palette where navy blue and silver are the main
theme. Navy blue transmits powerfull, authority and luxury, besides, taking into account that the
CEO of the brand is Nieves, we decided to play with her name, so blue represents the refelction of
the sky in the snow. When a new campaign is made, the corporative colours must be untouched but
the colour of the new theme could be included. For exmple, in Saint Valentine, we can include red
and pink to follow the seasonal storytelling.

Thirdly, the packaging is going to be changed because plastics aren’t opulent enough. In this way,
the products will be false crystal, so giving this new material will enhance the brand and follow the
fundational storytelling. As we included the corporative colours, the group has decided to also
change the colour’s product including navy blue and silver. The new logotype and typograpghy is
going to be small and thin situated in the left side. Talking about the skincare products, new ones
will be included like washa and rolling.

Fourthly, we noticed that the brand images are mainly product images, so we can talk about product
storytelling. Moreover, the model included in the photos is always Nieves Álvarez, so we are
changing it, including new faces. Nieves Beauty will have brand friend like Avellaneda, Blanca Suarez
as ambassador and Laura Escanes as brand image. Including the new celebritys, Nieves Beauty will
expand their target and improve the brand.

The website rebranding consits on changing the principal colours to the ones introduced in the new
logo, presenting a coherent visual identity. The website also will include videos showing the optimal
usage of each cosmetic product. The best costumers will be on the website showing their skincare
routine. This give a friendly view of the brand and the new costumers will want to be part of Nieves
Beauty cosmetic videos.

In adittion, with contemporary marketing trends, we will create a Tiktok account, uploading videos
of different influencers making their skincare routines. Doing this, the brand will break the
generational gap, reaching all sorts of consumers.

To expand the brand and taking into account the budget, we are making a small event where the
new ambassadors are invited. The event is a spa session and bodycare practices, so the influencers
can taste the skincare products and share it on social media. This event will serve as a promotional
plataform for the products of our brand.

To sum up, the rebranding is a slow process where the brand can’t loose their visual identity and by
a long shot the principal customers. That’s why, we are not creating a complex rebranding.
