PROSPECTUS AND DETAILED NOTIFICATION
1. Important Dates
Note: Candidate must duly check the detailed updates on the website for change
of dates, if any due to administrative reasons.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Candidates belonging to Telangana, who applied for the unfilled
seats of Global category, will also considered under the General category of
admission.
i. The application fee should be paid through TS Online service, for which the service
center will issue a receipt.
ii. An additional amount of Rs. 25.00 per application should be paid as a service
charge to the TS Online Centre.
iii. If any candidate submits his/her application for more than once, in such case,
the latest application is considered for the selection process.
iv. Immediately, after submitting the application through online, the
PH/CAP/NCC/Sports applicants should send the print-out of online application
duly signed by the candidate along with the relevant certificates to the following
address by Speed Post/Registered Post to reach on or before 29-06-2024.

The candidates should write ‘Application for UG Admissions-2024, RGUKT, Basar’ on
the top of the envelope.
4. Admission Procedure:
i. Admissions to the first year of Integrated B. Tech. Program for the year 2024-25 will
be based on merit in the Grade Point Average (GPA) and Grade obtained in each
subject in 10th class, and by following the statutory reservations of the state. A
deprivation score of 0.4 prescribed by the Government for the year 2024-25 under
Statute 13 (3) shall be added to the 10th class GPA of those applicants who studied in
non-residential Government Schools including the Zilla Parishad and Municipal
Schools, with an objective of providing weightage to the socio economically
challenged students in the admission process.

ii. At RGUKT, Basar, admissions for the Academic Year 2024-25, 85% of the total
available seats shall be reserved for the Local Candidates (Telangana State) and the
remaining 15% of the seats shall be un-reserved (these seats will be filled with both
Telangana and Andhra Pradesh students based on their merit) as specified in the
Presidential Order 371 Article D in consonance to Section 95 of the A.P.
Reorganization Act, 2014.
6. Rule of Reservation:
i. The admissions to 85% of the total available seats shall be reserved for the Local
Candidates and the remaining 15% of the seats shall be un-reserved as specified in
the Presidential Order 371 Article D and in consonance to Section 95 of the A.P.
Reorganization Act, 2014 (see Annexure-I).
ii. The rules of reservation for different categories are as under in both local and un-
reserved categories, subject to any changes and amendments made by the Government
of Telangana State.
a. SC - 15%, BC-A - 7%, BC-B - 10%, BC-C - 1%, BC-D - 7%, BC-E - 4%
b. ST Reservation: ST Reservation will be applicable as per G.O.Ms.No.33 issued by
the Government.of Telangana.
c. EWS Reservation: EWS Reservation will be applicable as per G.O.Ms.No.244 issued
by the Government.of Telangana (Annexure-IX).
d. Physically Challenged (PH) -3% (VH-1%, HI-1% & OH-1%), Children of Armed
Personnel (CAP) - 2%, NCC -1% and Sports - 0.5%.
e. A horizontal reservation of 33% (1/3 %) of seats in favor of girl candidates in each
category (OC/SC/ST/BC/Special categories) shall be ensured, wherever girl
candidates are available.
f. In case of PH candidates, certificates issued by the State Medical Board alone are
acceptable. For Sports Form-I, II, III and IV duly certified / attested by the
concerned State Sports Associations recognized by the Sports Authority of
Telangana State (SATS). CAP categories, certificates issued by the competent
authority are considered. The aforementioned are applicable at the State-level.
Model proformas for certificates are given for all the above categories in respective
Annexures.
7. Selection Method:
i. Admissions will be based on merit in the Grade Point Average (GPA) and Grade
obtained in each subject in 10th class by following the statutory reservations and as per
the provisions of Presidential Order,1974.A deprivation score of 0.4 prescribed by the
Government under Statute 13 (3), shall be added to the normalized score of applicants
from non-residential Government Schools including the Zilla Parishad and Municipal
Schools for selection, with an objective of providing weightage to help the students from
socially, economically deprived sections of the society for admissions.
Note: As specified in the Presidential Order 371 Article D in consonance to Section 95 of
the A.P. Reorganization Act, 2014, 15% of the total seats shall be reserved for both the
Telangana and Andhra Pradesh students and selection to these 15% seats shall be done
on merit basis.
ii. In case of a tie in score, it will be resolved by adopting the following options in that
sequence:
a. Higher grade in Mathematics
b. Higher grade in General Science
c. Higher grade in English
d. Higher grade in Social Studies
e. Higher grade in 1st Language
f. Older candidate as per the Date of Birth
g. Lowest random number obtained from the hall ticket number
The procedure of resolving the tie by random number is as follows:
**For SSC, NIOS, TOSS & APOSS applicants:
The random number will be obtained as the reminder of {253x [first 5 digits of the hall
ticket number] divided by the last 5 digits of the hall ticket number}
For example, from the hall ticket no.1219121028, the first five digits viz.,12191 and the
last five digits viz.,21028 will be considered for this purpose. The remainder is 14235.
The lowest remainder obtained from the hall ticket number shall be considered as merit.

10. Admission:
i. Admission to the first year of 6-Year Integrated Engineering Program in the University
will be granted only after satisfactory verification and scrutiny of the details mentioned in
the application form against the original certificates / documents submitted by the
candidate at the time of certificate verification. After the certificate verification, the
candidates will be admitted as per the rules of RGUKT.
ii. Allotment of seat is based on data provided by the applicants and upon the verification
of documents/certificates.
iii. Admission Committee, UG Admissions-2024 shall have a right to cancel the admission,
if any discrepancies are found during the procedure of certificate verifications and data
submitted by the applicant.
11. Annual Fee:
i. The tuition fee of the first year for the candidates who studied in the schools of
Telangana & Andhra Pradesh States is Rs.37,000/- (It includes Rs.1000/-
examination fee). In addition to this, every student has to pay a registration fee of
Rs.1,000/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ST candidates) and a refundable caution deposit of
Rs.2,000 (by all) and medical insurance of Rs. 700/- approximately for first two years
(by all), that is a total of Rs.3,700/- (Rs 3,200/- in case of SC/ST candidates) at the time
of admission.
ii. Students who are eligible for fee-reimbursement as per the guidelines issued by the
respective State Governments (as per the latest Govt. rules eligible for the fee-
reimbursement) may apply. The scholarship eligible students except from Telangana
State need to pay the tuition fee and it will be refunded by RGUKT as and when the
scholarship is sanctioned from the respective states.

12. Admission of Students from other States and International Students:
i. Supernumerary seats to the extent of 5% are available under the Global Category for
the students belonging to States other than Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, including
the Children of Indians (all the States) working in Gulf Countries. Admission is given on
the basis of merit in the marks / grades obtained in the 10th standard / equivalent
examination. Those candidates who secured a minimum of 70% of marks alone are
eligible for admissions.
Note: Unfilled seats of Global Category (Left over seats of other state candidates) may be allocated
to the local candidates on merit basis (only for the TS) on payment of tuition fee of Rs.1,37,000/-
per annum.
ii. The tuition fee for the students from other states and children of Indians working in Gulf
Countries is Rs.1,37,000/- per annum which includes tuition, examination, hostel,
mess fees etc. In addition to this, every student has to pay a registration fee of
Rs.3,700/-
iii. 2% supernumerary seats are available for International/ other NRI students on payment
of tuition fee of Rs.3,01,000/- per annum which includes tuition, examination, hostel,
mess fees etc., In addition to this, every student has to pay a registration fee of
Rs.3,700/-
iv. Applicants from the other states, children of Indians working in Gulf Countries,
International and NRI students seeking admission at RGUKT–Basar, shall apply
through www.rgukt.ac.in only.
v. The application fee for children of Indians working in Gulf Countries (Global) is
Rs.1500/- and NRI students is US $100.00.
vi. Applicants from International and NRI should pay the application fee through a Demand
Draft drawn in favour of ‘The Director, RGUKT, Basar’ and payable at any nationalized
bank.
