Network Specialist - Remote Access Systems

Mission Context:
The BNP Paribas Fortis IT department operates in an Agile environment,
promoting a challenging and motivating setting where teams and employees are
empowered to manage their technical domains. You will join the "Filière Telecom
BE" tribe, responsible for providing telecom services for the BNPP group in
Belgium, working closely with ITGP and BP2I partners. Our mission involves
managing and deploying Belgium network systems in alignment with group
requirements and architecture, both within our datacenters and managed
buildings.
Role Description:
As a Network Specialist, you will focus on the "Remote Access (RA) system,"
supporting and maintaining the architecture, updating ASA firepower servers,
and serving as the technology expert. Your collaboration will extend to teams in
Belgium and a joint support team within the BNPP group.
Key Responsibilities:
• Translate business needs into IT solutions.
• Manage and monitor network assets using monitoring tools.
• Troubleshoot complex incidents related to RA technology and follow up on
incidents (ServiceNow).
• Understand squad network topologies/devices and their functionalities.
• Roll-out and stage new RA network devices according to BNPP design and
change processes.
• Update systems to resolve vulnerabilities and comply with mandatory
regulations.
• Lead and explain changes in change management meetings, both locally
and for the BNPP group.
• Create and update low-level design documents and maintain as-built
design documents.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call schedule supporting team network assets
(one week every six weeks).
Language Requirements:
• Dutch: Good to Fluent
• French: Good to Fluent
• English: Fluent (all documentation is in English)
Certifications:
• Cisco AnyConnect & Cisco network certifications are a plus.
Experience and Knowledge:
• Mandatory:
o At least 5 years of relevant experience.
o Network knowledge: Remote Access solutions, Firewalls, switches,
routers, Wi-Fi systems, NAC dot1x, MFA.
o Experience in configuring and supporting Cisco network
environments.
o Experience in configuring, maintaining, and monitoring network
devices and related protocols.
o Ability to build and update technical documentation and inventories.
o Analyze, troubleshoot, and solve complex network issues related to
Remote Access solutions.
o Follow-up of service operation needs (SLA/KPI).
o Cisco CCNA & CCNP certified or equivalent working experience
(e.g., recommendation from a previous employer).
• Preferable:
o Experience with Python scripting or other scripting languages
(specify examples).
o Experience in an Agile working environment.
