b) identified the impacts of human on the atmosphere
c) reported the human impact on the atmosphere

II. Subject Matter

III. Procedure

Teacher’s Activity Student’s Activity

A. Preliminary

Everybody stand up for our prayer, Dun (Dun lead the prayer)
please lead the prayer.

Good afternoon everybody, before you sit

down arrange your chairs properly and pick
up pieces of paper. You may now take your
seats.

B. Motivation

As you can observed we already discussed

the human impact on land and water right?
Lesson 1,2,3, is all about the human impact
on the natural sources and as a I said we are
done with the human impact on water and
land, so now what do you think is our topic
today? Human impact on the atmosphere ma’am
Yes very good, you got it right!
Human impact on the atmosphere.
How do human impact the Earth’s
atmosphere?

So now, let’s first have an activity this is

called arrange me please

This group count off 1 up to the last number (the students count off)

The same with this group count off 1 up to (the students count off)
the last number

This is how the game works, I will divide the

class into two, this will be the group 1 and
this will be the group 2. You have your
assigned number per group right? Yes ma’am
Okay very good, I have here a jumbled words
all you have to do is to arrange this and I will
randomly pick a number, those picked
number will be the representative per group
to come in front and will write the correct
answer, those group who writes first the
answer correctly will gain the points you for
the round. You can coach your representative
of course silently to assure that the other
group will not be able to hear your answer.
Refrain from shouting. Those group who
works quietly will have an additional points.

Okay understand?
Yes ma’am
Then let’s starts.
List of jumbled words
1. atmosphere
2. air pollution
3. human sources
4. natural sources
5. Gases
6. particulates
7. vehicle exhaust
8. smog
9. acid precipitation
10. air quality

Group 1 got 6 points and group 2 got 4

points, therefore group 1 is the winner.
Let’s give them 2 claps.
(students claps)
And since you did all your best, give you
yourself 3 claps (students claps)

C. Lesson proper

So those terms you had encountered a while

ago, we will going to know them all
throughout our discussion. And if you have
any questions during our discussion just write
your questions in ¼ sheet of paper and we
will answer your question at the end of our
discussion. Okay?
Yes ma’am
What was again our topic?
Yes thank you very good. Human impact on the atmosphere
Human impact on the atmosphere, at the end
of this topic you will be going to identify the
impact that humans have on Earth’s
atmosphere.

Let’s begin, air, what is air? What is it good

for?

Who among you here has an idea?

Yes Jona, Air is an important resource ma’am
Okay thank you, very good Jona

Who has any other idea?

Yes Kyle
The air we breathe forms a part of Earth’s
Very good Kyle. atmosphere

Yes, If you were at the middle of the sea, no

food, no water to drink you can still survive
for a few days but without air, you wouldn’t
last more than a few minutes. Because air is
an important resource. The air we breathe
forms part of Earth’s atmosphere. Most
organisms on Earth have adapted to the
natural balance of gases found in the
atmosphere.
Aside from that, I have here a video
presentation that shows how atmosphere is
important.
I want you to get ½ crosswise and answer the
following:
1. List the importance of Earth’s
atmosphere.
Okay let’s start.
Okay papers up.

Who among you here can, share their

answers?
Yes, Ken

Atmosphere is important because, it provide

us gases that organsisms need to survive, it
absorbs harmful radiation and it keeps our
Thank you, Excellency ken. Earth warm.

Yes as we will summarize the videos’ point it

summarizes this idea why Earth’s atmosphere
is important. Provides gases that organisms
need to survive
Absorbs harmful Radiation
Keeps Earth warm.

But then Earth’s atmosphere is in threat why?

What do you think is the reason?
Because of what?
Yes you got it right, because of air pollution.
What is air pollution? Any idea? Because of air pollution ma’am
Okay thank you
Air pollution is the contamination of the
atmosphere by pollutants from human and
natural sources.
Who can give me a source of air pollution
from natural sources?
Very good
Volcanic eruption ma’am
How about air pollution from human
sources?

Thank you very good! Burning of fossil fuels ma’am

Air pollution is the contamination of the

atmosphere by pollutants from human and
natural j sources.
When we say natural sources like Volcanic
eruptions, wildfires, and dust storms.
On the other hand Human sources such as
burning of fossil fuels such as oil, gasoline
and coal.

Scientists classify air pollutants as either

gases or particulates.

Now I want you to count off 1 to 5.

Group 1 stay here, 2 there, 3, there, here and

5 there. Students count off

In the count of 10 go to your group and form

a circle
10,9,8,7,6,….

Choose a representative per group, and

representatives come forward.

Pick

Everybody listen so this is the instruction, we

will have a reporting each group has their
assigned topic/question right? so, that
questions as you can observed is can be
found on your book. So write your answer in
a manila paper.
If you have any questions just raise your right
hand.
Okay start now. I will give you

Time is up
Each group prepare ¼ sheet of paper.
Done?
Where is the group 1?
Group 1 will going to rate G-2, G2-G3, G3-
G4, G4-G5, G5-G1
Yes maam
So this the criteria for reporting write in your
¼
Content- 20
Ability to answer question- 10
Cooperation-10
Everybody must listen for I will randomly
choose a member from the group to throw a
question from the group they are rating.
Okay understand?

Whose group assigned with number 1

question?
Yes ma’am

D. Generalizations

So our topic was all about the impact of

human on the atmosphere, How do humans
impact Earth’s atmosphere?
If you were at the middle of the sea, no food,
no water to drink you can still survive for a
few days but without air, you wouldn’t last
more than a few minutes. Because air is an
important resource. The air we breathe forms
part of Earth’s atmosphere. Most organisms
on Earth have adapted to the natural balance
of gases found in the atmosphere.
But Earth’s atmosphere in in threat because
of air pollution. When we say air pollution,
the contamination of the Earth’s atmosphere
through natural or human sources.

with vehicle exhaust and oxygen in
the air.

ground level ozone and vehicle
exhaust react in the presence of
sunlight.
7. It is the measure of how clean or
polluted the air is
8. Is the number used to describe the air
quality of a location
