Role of innovation and incubation cell
Innovation is conversion of idea leading to improvement in way of doing things
depending on availability of resources with guidance from those who are more
experienced around us.
GNITS Innovation Cell is thus envisaged to network people, ideas, experience and
resources to motivate the innovation community in the college.
This cell helps to nurture the students’ ideas and encourage them to bring up
business proposals. The Innovation Cell may facilitate even in getting funds for the
project.
Learning is a continuous process and there are always possibilities for
improvement in the existing system around us. Using the facilities of workshops,
laboratories, library including digital library facility, internet and intranet facilities
and research facilities available in the institute, innovative ideas could be
translated into reality or existing systems could be improved upon.
The main aim of this Cell is, thus, to create intuition in terms of creative design
ideas in various fields of engineering in an aesthetic approach. Innovation Cell will
assist students and also encourage young talented minds by providing them a
perfect platform for showcasing their talents, working together as teams and
participate in various competitions. It will also serve to provide the students a
platform to excel in their specialized area of interest.

Attending a workshop can be a valuable experience for personal and professional
development. Various factors contribute to making a workshop effective and
beneficial. Here are some key factors to consider:
2. Facilitator/Instructor:
Expertise: A knowledgeable and experienced facilitator enhances the learning
experience.
Engaging presentation style: A facilitator who can effectively convey information
and engage participants is crucial.
3. Interactive Learning:
Hands-on activities: Workshops that incorporate practical exercises or interactive
sessions tend to be more effective.
Group discussions: Opportunities for participants to share insights and learn from
each other.
16
Some of the most valuable experiences a professional can have are when he or
she attends a workshop. Apart from learning new things, by attending a
workshop, professionals can also build new relationships, establish connections
with like-minded people, and even get to know clients and vendors on a more
personal level.
MOTTO
Innovation and creativity are at the core of the students' motto. Workshops
inspire students to think outside the box, challenge norms, and explore
novel solutions to problems. The motto encourages a mindset that values
creativity as a catalyst for progress.
From the data analysed majority(80%) of the participants attend hackathons to gain
knowledge

MODE OF PREFERENCE
The preference for online or offline workshops among students can vary
based on several factors. Different students may have different
preferences, and these preferences may also change over time.
Here are some factors for choosing offline mode
:
1. Face-to-Face Interaction:
20
Offline workshops provide an opportunity for direct, face-to-face
interaction between students and instructors. This personal connection
can enhance the learning experience and facilitate immediate
clarification of doubts.
2. Networking Opportunities:
In-person workshops allow students to network with peers, professors,
and industry professionals. Building connections during these events
can be valuable for future collaborations and career opportunities.
3. Team Collaboration:
Group projects and collaborative activities are often easier to manage
in an offline setting. Students can work together more seamlessly,
fostering teamwork and interpersonal skills.
4. Structured Schedule:
Offline workshops often follow a predetermined schedule, providing a
structured learning environment that can be beneficial for students
who thrive in a routine.
21
2. Cost-Effectiveness:
Online workshops often eliminate the need for travel and
accommodation expenses, making them more cost-effective for both
students and institutions. This can be especially beneficial for those on
a tight budget.
4. Global Networking:
Online workshops enable students to connect with peers, instructors,
and industry professionals globally. This global networking can provide
valuable insights and perspectives, enriching the overall learning
experience.
7. Time Efficiency:
Online workshops often use technology to streamline administrative
tasks, grading, and communication, resulting in time efficiency for both
instructors and students.
