ACTIVITY No. 2- Good
Citizenship Values

Task 1:

Answer the following questions:

1. What do you observe in the lesson Good Citizenship Values? Why do you
say so?

- This lesson enlightens us on the value that Filipinos place on our heritage. By
adhering to and carrying out our own "Maka-Diyos, Maka-tao, Maka-bayan,
at Maka-kalikasan" values. Additionally, we may earn respect by respecting
the various religions practiced in the nation.

2. In your own words, define good citizenship values.

- Good citizenship principles are something we learn and appreciate, in my

opinion. For instance, the government should be accountable for the
responsibility they have to our nation. And we students have the qualities of
deference, thoughtfulness, and respect for our parents, elders, and other
people.

3. How do you show your faith in the Almighty God? According to the
discussion of Maka-Diyos in this module, especially in our current
situation?

- In my perspective, believing in the Almighty God in a variety of

circumstances, whether they are minor or crucial. Additionally, you can
practice your faith by going to a church service or gathering in a church.
Due to the Pandemic Surge, I am unable to attend a real mass at a church,
but thanks to the Internet, I may show my faith from a distance by
participating in an online mass.

4. In our current situation, how can you show your respect for life?

- I believe that respect for oneself comes from loving and caring for ourselves.
In order for us to respect life, it is equally crucial that we respect the lives of
others.

5. Have you ever been in love? Do you feel you are loved?

- Yes, experiencing love may make me very happy. Genuine happiness that
brings me joy and peace of mind throughout the day.

6. What is your standard of love?
- My mother's and my grandmothers' love for me is, in my opinion, the gold
standard for love; no one can compare.

7. The Golden Rule says “Do unto others what you want others do unto
you”. What do you think is the standard of love if we consider this rule?

- It depends because if you loved that person unconditionally even if you give
anything to their love and affection, you can not expect the return. After all,
you love that person unconditionally.

8. What is the importance of the environment in the development of

the society? Why do you say so?

- The environment is crucial for society's development because a clean,

healthy environment allows people to breathe in the pure air that comes
from nature. The environment is significant because it shields us from
disasters like floods and could even be useful to society.

9. In your own ways, how can you contribute in the protection of the
environment from its threats?

- As a student, I should practice the proper disposal of waste by participating

in or supporting an organization that saves mother nature from destruction
and an organization that plants trees in the mountains or different places
that need to recover.

Task 2:
Instructions:
1. Cite personal incidents / moments in your life that you feel you have become:

a. Maka-Diyos

- Last year, I went on a retreat that helped me develop a stronger trust in God.
After the three retreat days, I gained a lot of knowledge and started
participating in religious events at our catholic church. I've been a choir
server for our church for four years. My faith was put to the test when my
sister was admitted to the hospital with appendicitis. I prayed that God
would heal my sister of her illness, and after a month, He never fails to
answer my prayers. My sister recovered and was released from the hospital.

b. Makatao

- I respect myself and others to demonstrate my humanity. To show respect for

seniors and people who are older than me, I say "po at opo" to them. more by
lending a hand to others, such as guiding elderly people across the street. I

might say that I am demonstrating my humanity by providing meals to the
poor and by making financial contributions to organizations like "Angat
Buhay Charity."

c. Makakalikasan

- I demonstrate my "makakalikasan" by properly disposing of waste.

Additionally, through using less fuel and electricity and by conserving
energy. If my route or agenda is near, I walk or ride a bike instead of taking a
motorcycle or other kind of commuter transportation.

d. Makabansa/Makabayan

- I vote for someone deserving who can carry out those responsibilities for our
nation in order to demonstrate my "makabayan." We must appreciate
governors or other authorities who are performing their jobs, even though VP
Leni Robredo did not do so when she was running for president. And if we
find that they are not performing their duties properly and honestly, we must
complain because they are paid so much in taxes.

2. Explain the details. What have you learned and realized out from that
experience?

- What I discovered and learned from that experience is that we must first
trust the Almighty God because, no matter what occurs in our lives, there is
a reason why the Almighty God places us in that circumstance. Second, by
respecting people's boundaries and being considerate of their feelings, in
addition to assisting others. Third, by conserving the energy we use each
day, we can maintain our access to nature as a source of entertainment and
plant trees that will continue to give us clean air in the future. Fourth,
casting your vote for a deserving candidate who lacks corruption, has a
spotless past, can serve our nation honorably and has a strong sense of
patriotism.

Task 3:
Instructions:
1. Identify at least five (5) strengths of Filipino character that you think you
possess. Why do you say so?

- Filipino hospitality, good humor, respect for others, religion, and hard work.
When I visited my friends' homes, their families prepared and served food
and beverages to me in an effort to make me feel at home. I have personally
experienced this hospitality. Filipinos are humorous; for example, when I
see a joke or humorous message on Facebook, like Cong TV, I laugh.
Filipinos also show respect for others by saying "po at opo" to people who
are older than you. Filipinos are highly religious people; in addition to the
several fiestas that are celebrated in our nation, we also observe Christmas
by attending church. Finally, Filipinos have a reputation for being hard
workers because many move abroad to support their family. Our farmers

produce for us things like rice, fruits, and other things; thus they are looked
on as hard workers.

2. Identify at least five (5) weaknesses of Filipino character that you think
you possess. What are the steps do you take to change these weaknesses
into strength?

- Crab mentality, Filipino Time, Lack of self-discipline, Procrastinator, and

"bahala na" attitude. The crab attitude should be avoided first, and we
should value accomplishments rather than denigrate others. Instead of
passing judgment on others, consider their motivation. Second, being on
time in any circumstance helps you make a positive first impression. Third,
we should develop self-discipline via attending seminars, such as those on
driving, to have a pleasant and safe journey. Fourth, we should practice
being productive every day to fulfill our assigned obligations, such as
homework and housework. Making our bed every morning is an example of
how we should practice being productive every day. Finally, it is important to
get rid of the "bahala na" attitude since it might lead us to make impulsive
decisions. Thinking things through helps us develop good decision-making
skills.

Task 4:

2. Create a poster of any medium out from your own perspective and
imagination
