❖ The file server takes on the computer or server role to store and make available
data to clients, serving as a central location to store and share files for a network.
They can be limited to a single local area network (LAN) or can be open to the
internet.
❖ File servers make storing, securing and sharing files in an organization. File servers
are a common target for hackers, so particular attention must be given to securing
them against attacks.

Install File Server Role
to configure File Server.
Right-Click the
Folder you'd like to
set Sharing and
Open [Properties]

and Click
[Share...]
button.
