These should be suitably and permanently secured to the structure by means of chain or equivilent.

Welding
Welding of Primary structure should be full penetration welds performed with approved Welders to approved Weld Procedures
in accordance with section 4.2.2 of CN 2.7-1 May 1995. (Weld Procedure Impact tests should be carried out in WCL, FL,
FL+2, and FL+5). Welding of Secondary structure should be according to a recognised standard in accordance with
section 4.3 of CN 2.7-1, May 1995.

Slings (DNV CN2.7-1 section 7)


Sling set safety factors include a Dynamic Amplification Factor in addition to a factor of safety against breaking
with respect to a maximum seastate up to significant wave heights of 6.0m.
The Design of this container is approved without lifting set, however for compliance with DNV CN2.7-1 the
lifting set should be verified as meeting the requirements shown on this report by a D.N.V. Surveyor prior to use.
Sling wire diameter should be at least 20mm
Sling should be sized to ensure a horizontal lift.
A fith leg should be fitted to the sling so the master link is reachable from ground level.

Comments
1. Markings to be in accordance with sections 5 & 6 of CN 2.7-1.

3. This Design Review has not considered the carriage of dangerous goods. It is the Owner’s responsibility
to ensure that all relevant IMDG requirements for transportation of dangerous goods are fully complied with.
4. Doors should have suitably protected locking devices which will ensure that they are secure against opening
during transportation and lifting.
5. Design of this container is only approved with roof fitted.
6. This document is considered an interim approval to the Type Approval which shall be issued by DNV
Oslo after completion of their review and receipt of verified copies of the Prototype Load Test records.
7. This report is based on previous DNV design Review Report -ABD- Rev dated
DNV Reference ABD .
