Pairing Procedure

Requirements
A Bluetooth compatible mobile phone is required.(check www.honda-access.com)
To receive or make calls, the mobile phone must be inside the vehicle with as
little physical barrier between the mobile phone and the Bluetooth module unit.

Pairing Procedure
* NOTE: For your safety, this procedure should not be attempted while
driving the vehicle.

Connecting to the mobile phone for the first time


1. When the ignition is turned on ,“Honda Car Kit” text will be displayed on
the screen.

2. Turn the scroll wheel to select the “Pairing Mode”, and then access it by
pressing the scroll wheel.

3. Set your mobile phone to in discovery mode to “discover” this unit by


following your mobile phone instruction.

* NOTE: Please follow the Bluetooth pairing procedure in your mobile phone
Owner’s Manual.

4. Search for the device on the mobile phone. When the search is completed
the mobile phone should display Honda Car Kit_xxxxxx followed with a
few numbers. Confirm this by pressing “yes” or “OK”.

5. At this time the device should ask for a pin number, enter 0000. After
pairing, your mobile phone name should appear on the main screen.

PIN: 0000 Honda Mobile

6. If the system fails to pair with your mobile phone , recheck your mobile
phone Owner’s Manual and repeat the above procedure .

* NOTE: If phone call is busy, the connection will pair automatically, and then it
will switch from mobile phone to the system when ignition is on.
(depends on mobile phone you used)

Connection Requirements
• Before using, you must pair your mobile phone with the Bluetooth Hands-
free telephone system.
• If the ignition switch is on, and you move your Bluetooth mobile phone out
of range from Bluetooth module , the connection will switch to the mobile
phone and the system will automatically start searching approximately
twenty seconds after the pairing is disconnected.
• When the ignition is turned off, the vehicle Bluetooth connection is lost.
However, the mobile phone will continue the communication.
