ANTINOX FLOOR PROTECTION SHEET

2. DANGER IDENTIFICATION
This product is not classified as dangerous according to European Community criteria.
If exposed to high temperatures, this product may burn, except for fire retardant classified products.

3. COMPOSITION / INFORMATION ON COMPONENTS

White Ink max 0.2% (contain: butanone, ethanol, ethyl acetate, nitrocellulose <12.6%, 1-methoxypropane-2-ol,
sodium perchlorate monohydrate, isopropylic alcohol (IPA))

4. First Aid
4.1. Respiratory Tract
In the event of accidental exposure to fumes, which may arise during combustion of the product, remove the
person from the polluted atmosphere and make him or her lie down. If breathing stops, perform artificial
respiration and call the emergency services.

4.2. Contact with Skin


If the product is hot and creates a skin burning hazard:
Apply cold water for at least 15 minutes,
Do not remove clothing stuck to the skin so as not to pull off the injured area,
Cover with a cotton compress or a sterile gauze,
Alert the emergency services.

4.3. Eye Contact


This product is an inert solid. If forceful contact with the eyes occurs, do not rub them. Consult a doctor and do not
remove any foreign bodies. If the problem continues, consult an ophthalmologist.

4.4. Digestive Tract


In principle, emergency medical assistance is not required.

5.2. Particular Protection Measures


Do not breathe in fumes. People qualified for extinguishing fires must wear suitable protective equipment.
Prevent fire-fighting effluents from entering the drains or watercourses.

6. Measures to be taken in the event of accidental disposal
Recover and dispose of in accordance with applicable regulations.
Do not discharge into the drains or waters.

7.1. Handling
No specific handling recommendations. Comply with maximum loads during manual or mechanical handling.

7.2. Fire Prevention


Avoid buildup of electrostatic charge.
Use the products in areas, which are free of all naked flames. Do not smoke.

7.3. Recommended Procedures and Equipment


No specific recommendations. Wear suitable personal protective equipment for the work being performed in
accordance with health and safety regulations.

7.4. Packing / Storage


The cellular sheets are packed on plastic wrapped plastic or wooden pallets. The sheets are covered with a
polypropylene protective sheet.
Store inside at room temperature.

8. Exposure Control / Individual Protection


Wear suitable personal protective equipment for the work being performed in accordance with health and safety
regulations.

When exposure to the product at high temperature may occur, the wearing of temperature resistant gloves and
safety glasses is recommended.

10. Stability and Reactivity


10.1. Thermal Decomposition / Conditions to avoid
Chemically inert material under normal conditions of storage and use.

10.2. Dangerous decomposition products


At high temperature during combustion, dangerous decomposition products can be released such as carbon
monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen monoxide and smoke.

11. Toxicological Data
11.1. Acute Toxicity
Inhalation : Negligible risk at room temperature. Irritating smoke or fumes can be released at
high temperature
Skin contact : Exposure to the product at high temperature can cause burning.
Eye Contact : In the solid state the product can cause irritation or inflammation of the cornea due
to mechanical action.
Ingestion : Very low toxicity

11.2. Chronic Toxicity


Exposure to the product causes no progressive or irreversible effects.

12. Ecological Data


Contamination of aquatic habitats is unlikely since the product is not water-soluble.
Contamination of the ground is unlikely since the product is very difficult to break down.
Do not dump in the environment but dispose of correctly in accordance with applicable regulations.

13. Disposal Related Factors


Cellular sheeting off cuts can be disposed of in authorized dumps or incinerated. They can be resold to recycling
agents for recycling as polypropylene granules.
The pallets on which the product is packed can be re-used or recycled as well as the stretch-wrap film.

14. Transport Related Data


This product is not subject to the regulations on the transport of hazardous materials by road (ADR), rail (RID), sea
(IMDG) or air (ICAO / IATA).

15. Regulatory Data


This product does not need to be classified under European Community criteria.

damage caused by its use and we always recommend you use wisdom when considering which protection to use.
ANTINOX® must never be used where there is any hint of moisture present, i.e. New wood floors, new screeded
floors, new marble floors etc and underfloor heating has been known to create sweating which should be avoided
at all costs. Any dampness/sweating which gets trapped between ANTINOX® board and the floor can cause
