DIPLOMA WORK?
● Each subject is graded 1–7, with 2 3
7 being the highest grade.
● These grades are also used as
points (Eg. grade 7= 7 points).
● The minimum threshold for the 4 5
award of the diploma is 24
points.

The final grade (points) for each subject results from


the marks that you obtain in the IAs + the marks that
you get on your Y12 exams

HOW DOES THE BILINGUAL DIPLOMA
WORK?
● TOK and the EE are graded A–E, with A being the highest grade.
● CAS is not assessed but must be completed in order to pass the diploma.
HOW DOES THE BILINGUAL DIPLOMA
WORK?

To obtain a bilingual diploma, you must complete two subjects in


different languages from Group 1 with the award of a grade 3
or higher in both languages

(Eg. Literature in English and Lengua y Literatura en español).


REQUIREMENTS FOR OBTAINING THE
IB BILINGUAL DIPLOMA
● 6 subjects + EE + TOK = 24 points

● Comply with CAS requirements

● There is no “N” awarded for TOK, the EE or for a

contributing subject.

● There is no grade E awarded for TOK and/or the EE.


REQUIREMENTS FOR OBTAINING THE
IB BILINGUAL DIPLOMA
● There is no grade 1 awarded in a subject/level.

● There are no more than two grade 2s awarded (SL/HL).

● There are no more than three grade 3s or below

awarded (SL/HL).

IB BILINGUAL DIPLOMA

● Gain 12 points or more on HL subjects.

● Gain 9 points or more on SL subjects.

● Not receiving a penalty for academic misconduct
