MultiQuant™ 2.1.1 Patch to November 2012

This patch is distributed to the users of the MultiQuant software. It fixes the following
issues:
• Users with no delete privileges for the Project folders cannot save Result Tables.
(JIRA MQ-142)
• The Analyst 1.6 and MultiQuant 2.1.1 software view data differently for looped
experiments with sMRM data. (JIRA MQ-124)

The MultiQuant 2.1.1 Patch to November 2012 includes functionality of MultiQuant 2.1.1
Patch for Reporting and LIMS that fixes the following issues:
For Reporting:
• Corrects the issue where the “IS PeakReview” picture tag works only in the loop for
the "ForEach Internal Standard" instead of working with each chromatogram
without the loop. (JIRA MQ-102)
• The Metric Plot image report is not displayed. (JIRA MQ-105)
• Added the “Iterate” field in the MultiQuant software exported text file, for the “Fit”
text line. This fix is also applicable to the “MacQuan” and “Analyst software”
formats. (JIRA MQ-106)
For LIMS:
• The MultiQuant software data provider was updated to incorporate the current
LIMS xml schema to address parsing issues during transfer. (JIRA MQ-119)

Prerequisites
• MultiQuant™ 2.1.1 Software

Installing the Software

This patch is compatible with Windows XP SP3 (32-bit) and Windows 7 (32 or 64 -bit).
The MultiQuant Patch for November 2012.zip includes two installers (for 32 and 64
bits systems). Unzip the files and then use the installer for the operating system that
you are running:
For 32-bit systems, use:
MultiQuant Patch to November 2012.exe
For 64-bit systems, use:
MultiQuant Patch to November 2012_64.exe

1. Log on to the computer as a user with Administrator privileges.

2. Make sure that the MultiQuant software is closed.
3. Double-click the MultiQuant Patch to November 2012_64.exe (or MultiQuant
Patch to November 2012.exe) file and then follow the instructions on the
screen.
Note: The installer for the MultiQuant Patch to November 2012 silently removes
MultiQuant 2.1.1 Patch for Reporting and LIMS from the system, as the fixes for
the issues addressed in MultiQuant 2.1.1 Patch for Reporting and LIMS are
included into the MultiQuant 2.1.1 Patch to November 2012.

Notes on Use:
Metric Plot Reporter tag
The MultiQuant software handles the Internal Standard as a component, which is the
same as the Analyte. To customize Metric Plots for an Internal Standard, the loop for
the “ForEach InternalStandard” and the tags for the Analyte should be used to create
the report template.
The following attributes for the picture tags are not applicable to the Metric Plot:
• Axis Font Size
• Hide Axis
• x Axis Label
• x Axis Units
• y Axis Label
• y Axis Units
• Sort By Axis
In general, all the tags in the X and Y Axis list can be used to create Metric Plots.
However, users should be aware that the tags containing non-numeric values or tags
not directly corresponding to the columns in the Result Table might not be appropriate
for Metric Plots.

LIMS
This patch supports LIMS Communication module version 3.3.3.107 and the current
LIMS xml schema.

Known Issues and Limitations:

The Read-Only projects are only for viewing. The updates are not recommended in
such projects.
