The internship opportunity I had with uptoskills was a great chance for learning and
professional development. Therefore, I consider myself a very lucky individual as I was
provided with an opportunity to be a part of it. I am also grateful for having a chance to meet
so many wonderful people and professionals who led me through this internship period.
Bearing in mind previous I am using this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude and
special thanks to the director of the company Shivam sir and Sonali maam who despite being
extraordinarily busy with their duties, took time out to hear, guide and keep me on the correct
path and allowing me to carry out my project at their esteemed organization and extending
during the training.
I express my deepest thanks to Eliza Maam, HOD for taking part in useful decisions & giving
necessary advice and guidance and arranging all facilities to make life easier. I choose this
moment to acknowledge his contribution gratefully.
I perceive this opportunity as a big milestone in my career development. I will strive to use
gained skills and knowledge in the best possible way, and I will continue to work on their

I was working at upskills company situated in Delhi as an Hr intern as a part of the academic
curriculum of BBA at Jindal global university. It is a leading Skill Tech platform designed to
help individuals and organizations succeed in the digital age. It offers a wide range of

and career advisors work closely with clients to provide ongoing support and guidance.
As a part of my internship, I was made familiar with the working of the HR department of a

JOB PROFILE
Responsibilities:
Assist in posting job openings on various job boards and the company's career
page.
Assist in preparing onboarding materials and welcome packages for new hires.
Assist in ensuring the company's compliance with labour laws and regulations.
Requirements:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business
Administration, or a related field.
Duration and Compensation: This internship will be from 6 weeks to 8 weeks. Compensation
and other benefits will be communicated during the interview process. It is an unpaid
internship but might lead to rewards based on performance.

TASK 1
Prepared onboarding materials and packages for new hires and the company.
1. Standard package - (Rs 1000) - Logo Branding - Online Registration, Digital Banner and
Photos.
- Distribution of T-shirts with sponsor logo on the back (5) (each sponsor will receive one T-
shirt).
- Sponsors can conduct their workshops in line with the training program.
- Exclusive mention as the primary sponsor in event press releases and local media coverage.
TASK 2
I screened resumes, shortlisted candidates, and scheduled interviews for vertex cosmos for
the position of job in a call centre. Vertex Cosmos is a Services firm providing Call Center
as a Service, Software as a Service.
I received resumes from various sources, such as job portals, email applications, and
the company's career page.
I entered the received resumes into the ATS, which allowed me to manage candidate
data efficiently.
Then I carefully reviewed each resume to assess the candidate's qualifications,
relevant experience, and alignment with the job requirements.
I scored candidates based on predetermined criteria, enabling us to identify potential
matches quickly.
Then I collaborated with the HR team and hiring managers to understand the specific
needs of each position.
I sent interview invitations and provided all the necessary details.
I asked questions such as; Can you tell us about your previous experience in a call
centre or customer service role?
Describe a situation where you went above and beyond to assist a customer.
How do you handle irate or difficult customers over the phone?
I documented all interactions with candidates, including interview schedules,
feedback, and any additional notes and sent the offer letter to the suitable candidates
after consultation with my HOD.
I performed individual screening for interns ar up-skills as well.
TASK 3
LEARNINGS
The above activities which I have done during the internship period enhanced my knowledge
and skill regarding project implementation and public relations. Some of the experiences are
given below;
Made me more responsible Having a workload and doing it, even after knowing I won't get
too much in return, develops a sense of responsibility. While going through this, I kept
acquiring the quality of completing tasks without looking for a profit in everything.
•Broadened my thinking -When you work for your own yourself, your thinking spectrum gets
limited and never do you think beyond the enclosure of your life and gains. But, working in
an ed tech start up forced me to think for other people. This widened my thinking spectrum so
that in future when I work, I think of the group or on a company level, which ultimately will
enhance my credibility and reputation.
Employee Onboarding and Engagement: I was involved in the onboarding process,
welcoming new employees to the organization. This experience will teach me the
significance of creating a positive and engaging employee experience from day one.
Understanding the Education Industry: Being part of an ed tech startup, I gained insights into
the education sector's unique challenges and opportunities.
CHALLENGES
Lack of resources
•Another problem was the lack of resources, we were faced with using technology, lacking
sufficient office space, and paying out-of-pocket for various expenses, office supplies, etc.
Staff retention
•. One of the major problems was with staff retention at uptoskills they usually didn’t have
many upper-level positions to move into. They were short-staffed heavily, only interns made
up the large part of the organisation.
• To overcome the lack of communication and staff retention, I always had to approach the
director himself first to assign work or set up a meeting while enhancing my communication
skills.
• Had to learn to deal with emotions and stress I had due to lack of communication while
working.
• I learnt that it is difficult to have a work-life balance when working from home.
• Conducting meetings for interviews for jobs and fellow interns helped me possess a certain
skill set on a micro level required to manage people.
