a. What is Business Process Reengineering (BPR)? (4 marks)

b. Give four top reasons why Business Process Re-engineering is important (8 marks)
c. Distinguish between the following set of terms:

i) TQM and BPR (3 marks)


ii) Intuitive and methodological approaches to BPR. (3 marks)

processes, explain four steps you would consider before making your final decision in
support of outsourcing. (4 marks)
ii) Once you have decided to outsource, explain four benefits your organization would
get from outsourcing. (4 marks)
c. Explain three distinct disciplines required for BPR (6 marks)

a. Discuss the role of IT in BPR success: (6 marks)


b. Among the top ten tools used for process re-engineering are: Customer Relationship
Management and Benchmarking. Explain why companies use these tools. (4 marks)
c. Describe the main principles of Selection and Acquisition of information systems by an
organization. (6 marks)
