With great pleasure I have received and reviewed the important document called “Notebook of Records of Good Agricultural Practices”, which
completes the fruitful work developed in long years of constant participatory work by the Ministry of Agriculture and under the diligent and
intelligent leadership of Dr. Teófilo Vargas Saavedra and his small but efficient technical team.
Taking into account that competitive agricultural development will only be possible if we generate quality products that can compete with
similar ones in the world; It is therefore essential to have the application of a minimum of good agricultural practices, which have been
accepted by the various groups of farmers in all spaces where courses, seminars, conferences and other participatory and dialogue activities
have been developed.
Since it is necessary to have practical instruments that can facilitate the application and registration of these good agricultural practices, it is a
good idea to provide farmers with a Model Good Agricultural Practices Record Book, where they can record the application of each of the
quality standards. , which will allow not only to record the activity but also to be able to permanently evaluate the validity or any distortion that
is made in the application of a standard, facilitating its permanent improvement. We consider this Notebook to be the best instrument that the
farmer can use to manage his farm or plot, as well as the best letter of introduction for anyone who wants to evaluate the efficiency of
