1. GOALS
• Recognize the main file management commands in the command prompt
• Correctly configure resource sharing in Windows 10.

2. DOCUMENTS OR REFERENCE STANDARDS

• Review theoretical material shared on Canvas such as: Slides, official course text and links of
interest.

3. PROCESS DESCRIPTION

3.1 THEORETICAL FOUNDATION

In this chapter, you will learn about the different versions of Windows and the most suitable
editions of each for corporate and home users. You will learn how to configure the Windows
operating system and perform administrative tasks using the Control Panel in the GUI, commands
in the Windows Command Line Application (CLI), and the PowerShell Command Line utility.

You'll learn about the two methods of organizing and managing Windows computers on a network,
domain and workgroup, and how to share local computer resources such as files, folders, and
printers on the network. You will also learn how to set up a wired network connection in Windows.

You will learn how the six steps of the troubleshooting process apply to Windows operating
systems.

3.2RESOURCES

3.1.1 Safety talk 5 minutes

Every learning session must begin with a 5-minute safety talk, where the teacher clearly
explains the basic safety rules to follow during the session.
