José Luis Alonso de Santos

Valladolid, 1942-08-23

Since 1959 he has lived in Madrid, where he graduated in Information Sciences (Image), Philosophy and
Letters (Psychology), and studied theater studies at the Teatro Estudio in Madrid. His theatrical career began
in 1964 in the Independent Theater groups, where he worked as an actor, director and playwright.

He has been director of the Royal Higher School of Dramatic Art of Madrid, (and Professor of Dramatic
Writing), and director of the National Classical Theater Company.

He is the author of more than thirty works, published both in Spain and abroad, and released with great
critical and public success, among which stand out: Bajarse al moro , La Estanquera de Vallecas and
Salvajes (all three made into films), Long live the duke, our owner! The family albumeuros a glass , The
concierges of San Felipe ...

He has made versions of fifty works by authors such as Plautus, Moreto, Aristophanes, Molière, Shakespeare
or Calderón, and free versions for theater of the novels: El Buscón by Quevedo, and Yo, Claudio , by Robert
Graves; and has written film scripts, television series, children's fiction and novels.

He has published the books on theater theory: Dramatic writing (Madrid. Ed. Castalia, 1998) and Manual of
theatrical theory and practice (Madrid. Ed. Castalia, 2007). And his Theatrical Work , in two volumes, (Ed.
Castalia, Madrid 2008).

He has directed more than thirty works by authors such as B. Brecht, Aristophanes, Synge, Pío Baroja, Valle
Inclán, Plauto, Shakespeare, Arniches, Calderón, Lope de Vega..., as well as several of his own texts. His
latest works as a stage director have been La dama duende , by Calderón, and Peribáñez y el comendador
de Ocaña , by Lope de Vega (for the Compañía Nacional de Teatro Clásico), and El gran Teatro del mundo ,
by Calderón (for the B . Valencian). In 2007 and 2008 he directed the revival of his works Bajarse al moro ,
La Sombra del Tenorio , and Trampa para libros . In 2010 and 2011 he directed his works Cuadros de amor
y humor al fresco and The arrival of the barbarians , in 2012 he directed his work 10 euros per glass .

He has been awarded, among others, the following awards: National Theater Award, Tirso de Molina, Mayte,
Rojas Zorrilla, Aguilar, Baco de Andalucía, City of Valladolid, Gold Medal of Theater of Valladolid, Alicante
Spectator Association, City of Cazorla, Exhibition of Contemporary Authors of Alicante, Max Prize, and
Castilla y León Prize for Literature 2009, etc.

His works are currently on tour: The Arrival of the Barbarians , The Shadow of Tenorio , Paintings of Love
and Humor Al Fresco , 10 Euros a Drink and A Lucky Man .

Toni Agusti

Diploma in Dramatic Art from the Valencia Actor School. He did his first work as an actor in the amateur
company La Farándula in productions such as "EVITA" or "LAS MARIPOSAS SON LIBRES" and in the CMT in
productions such as "ELS FIGURANTS" by Sanchis Sinisterra, directed by José Manuel Casany. He has taken
advanced courses with professionals of the caliber of Eric Damat, Emiliano Bronzoni, Carles Castillo and
Teatre de l'Ull, among others.

In Theater he has participated as an actor in companies such as Compañía de Teatre Micalet, where he
worked in the works: "JUBILEUM" by George Tabori and directed by Carme Portaceli, or "SOMNI D'UNA NIT
D'ESTIU" by William Shakespeare, directed by Joan Peris. With the L'Excèntric Teatre Company he
participates in the works "UNO MORE ONE" , written and directed by Martín Crespo or "MUTIS POR EL
MORRO" directed by Martín Crespo and of which he is co-author together with Ernesto Pastor and Martín
himself Curly. With Teatre de l'Ull he participates in the production "FOC I CANYA" directed by Juan Carlos
Garés, where he tours Spain and Portugal.

In 2002 he worked for Teatres de la Generalitat Valenciana where he participated in Luca Ronconi's project
"INFINITIES" by John D. Barrow, made by Vicente Genovés in the future City of Performing Arts in Sagunto.
That same year he participated in the production of the Micalet Theater Company, "LA RONDA" by A.
Snithlzer, directed by Ximo Solano.

In 2003 he premiered "HENRY, PORTRAIT OF A HIJOPUTA" directed by Martín Crespo, of which he is co-
author, along with Crespo himself and Ernesto Pastor. This same year he premieres at Moma Teatre, "EL
PÁRAMO WHERE JORGE MANRIQUE WAS DEATHLY WOUNDED" by Paco Zarzoso and directed by Carles
Sanjaime.

In Cinema he has participated in several short films such as "TIEMPO" by O. Carrión, "JEIT" by Pedro
Ballesta and "VICIUS" by Mapi Romero. He has recently participated as an actor in the filming of the feature
film "LOVE, SEX, PROZAC AND DOUBTS" by M. Santesmases, film version of the book of the same name by
Lucía Etxeberría and in "ARROZ Y TARTANA" directed by J. TO. Scribe.

Among many other activities that he has developed, the creation of the El Acrobata Company and the writing
of his own work titled "TRAGOS DE HUMOR" stand out.

Madrid

With a Higher Degree in Stage Direction and Dramaturgy from RESAD (1996-2000), she has expanded her
training with directors such as Jacques Nichet, Massimo Castri and Stephan Schuske.

In 2001, he founded Nao d'amores, a collective of professionals from classical theatre, puppetry and ancient
music, which carries out research and training work for the staging of the Pre-baroque Theatre . With this
company he has premiered the following shows: Comedy called Metamorfosea, by Joaquín Romero de
Cepeda (2001), Auto de la Sibila Casandra , (2003) and Auto de los Cuatro Tiempos (2004), both by Gil
Vicente, Misterio del Cristo de los Gascones (2007), Auto de los Reyes Magos in co-production with Teatro de
la Abadía (2008) , Dança da Morte/ Dança de la Muerte in co-production with Teatro da Cornucopia de
Lisboa (2010); Farsas y Eclogues by Lucas Fernández in co-production with the CNTC (2012), and “ Penal de
Ocaña ” by MJ Canellada (2013), inaugurating a new alternative scenic route: “ Nao d'amores, navigating
towards the present ”.

As a director, she has staged very diverse texts, among which we could highlight: Ligazón, by Valle-Inclán,
within the show Avaricia, Lujuria y Muerte produced by the National Dramatic Center (2009); Leaves of the
Fallen Tree , based on texts by Espronceda in a research work for the ESAC (2008); Tragicomedy of Don
Duardos by Gil Vicente for the National Classical Theater Company (2006) ; or El Amor a Uso by Antonio de
Solís for the José Estruch Company (2002) .

He has held the positions of Assistant Director in the Artistic Teams of the National Classical Theater
Company , under the direction of Eduardo Vasco (2005-2006), and at the Teatro de La Abadía , under the
direction of José Luis Gómez (2003- 2004).

In the field of cultural management, he was part of the organizing team of Titirimundi- Segovia International
Puppet Theater Festival (2000-1993) and the Segovia International Folk Festival (2000-1990).

In addition, he has participated as a speaker in multiple meetings and conferences, has given various
training workshops, and has published in different specialized magazines in the theatrical and philological
field.

Ana Zamora is a Corresponding Academician of the Royal Academy of History and Art of San Quirce , and
has received various awards throughout her professional career: Delirios de Mujer Award 2014, Fuente de
Castalia Award 2012, Nebrija Stage Award 2011, Best Direction Teatra l at the 2010 Teatro de Rojas
Awards ; 2008 Ojo Crítico Theater Award awarded by Radio Nacional de España ; 2008 ADE Direction Award,
2007 RTV Surco / TV La Mancha Classics Award , Segoviana Bien Vista Award. Culture and Art Category
(2002); José Luis Alonso Award , from the ADE (2001). Having also been nominated for other prestigious
awards among which we could highlight: finalist for the Max Awards 2009 and 2010 , (in the categories Best
Theatrical Adaptation , and Breakthrough Show ), or finalist for the Valle-Inclán Award , from El Cultural , in
its 2009 and 2008 editions.

JAVIER DEL GRANADO


(1913-1996)

Poet, son of Félix A. del Granado, was born in Cochabamba on February 27, 1913 and died in that same city
in 1996. He completed his basic studies in Cochabamba: Almost all of his youth was spent on his agricultural
property in Colpa, Arani. He presided over the Society of Writers and Artists of his hometown from 1947 to
1954. He was Maintainer of the Floral Games in 1946; Starting with the Floral Games of La Paz, 1943, Javier
del Granado was a winner in several competitions of this nature, having received the Natural Flower, the
Golden Laurel and the Gay Saber Band, until 1950, being awarded the title of Master of Gay Knowledge. He
also received other international distinctions, such as the "Cesar Vallejo", from Lima; the "Rubén Darío",
from Buenos Aires; as well as the Continental Poet Medal and a Golden Laurel Wreath, awarded to him in
1965 and 1966 by the World Organization of Poets Laureate, based in Manila (Philippines); As such, the
Government of General Barrientos awarded him the Golden Laurel Crown in 1965. He was a Full Member of
the Bolivian Academy of Language.

His main works are: Pale Roses (1939), poems; Songs of the Earth (1945), poems; Cochabamba (1959),
poems; Evocation of the Valley, (1964), poems; The Parable of the Eagle (1967), poems; Poetic Anthology of
the Natural Flower (1970), anthology of the laureate poets; Romance del Valle Nuestro (1972), poems; Of
Twilight and Dawn (1973), poems; Flight of Azores (1978), poems; and Songs (1989), poems.

THE RIVER

Crawling emerges from the chrome glass,


an alligator with emerald eyes,

RICARDO JAIMES FREYRE


(1868 -1933)

Exquisite, original artist; creator of new rhythms. Brilliant personality of Spanish America. Poet; Initiator of
Modernism that, from America, had an impact on Spain. He founded the Revista de América in Buenos Aires
with Rubén Darío. Professor, first in Sucre, and then for twenty years in Tucumán.
Diplomat, statesman, he held high positions. He was born in Tacna while his father, a native of Potosí, was
Consul of Bolivia.

He began his literary work in Argentina. An augural poet, he opened the doors of the most free poetry of the
present.

His is an orchestral voice with bronze sonorities and silky qualities. Masterful dominator of the idea and
rhetoric. He handled timeless, universal shortlists. There are allusions to Norse Mythology in his poems.

He was the creator of the correct and original theory in his "Laws of Spanish Versification", 1907.

Works: half a dozen important books on different aspects of the history of Tucumán, History of the Middle
Ages and Modern Times, "Jephthah's Daughter", drama. Many works in prose. In verse: "Castalia Bárbara",
1897. "Dreams are Life", books that are a milestone in American poetry for their deep human emotion, the
depth of feelings, their philosophy, the mysterious suggestion. "The Conquerors", historical drama, 1928.

Don Ricardo's captivating personality, his musketeer appearance with his tousled hair, penetrating gaze,
upright mustache, flat hat and Spanish cape, attracted students, friends and women who surrounded him,
admiring his vibrant musical voice and his gallant and stately manner.

Bolivia and Argentina share the glory of this artist. His remains rest in Potosí.
