WINDOWS OVERVIEW

Windows is the name of a family of software distributions for PCs, Smartphones and
servers, this is considered an operating system developed by the software company
Microsoft Corporation .
Windows came to dominate the global personal computer market, with more than 90% of
the market share, surpassing Mac OS. In the mid-90s, a discussion began about whether
or not Microsoft Windows was an operating system, or if it was rather an operating
subsystem, since Windows requires another operating system called MS-DOS ( or a
version of this) without Windows could not run. Windows is equipped with a graphical user
interface based on the windows prototype, a window represents an executed or running
task , each one can contain its own menu or other controls, and the user can enlarge or
reduce it using a mouse. which is used to point and select, this operating system has
spread very quickly worldwide and is used by millions of users and this is why most
programs have been developed with this system in mind, and their uses are only carried

Microsoft presented different improved versions of Windows, with different evolutionary

Windows 2.0 and Windows 3.0, which increasingly improved their performance and
offered a new look. In 1993, Windows NT was released, an operating system designed for
business environments. In 2001, Windows XP was launched, the first operating system
for PC developed, in 2006 its successor Windows Vista came and three years later the
Windows 7 version was released, to be replaced, and currently Windows 10.
