My performance in relation to my responsabilities

 Verantwoordelijkheid
Engineering Inspections - Carry out inspections under the supervision of senior colleagues to evaluate
the quality of engineering works and / or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and make
recommendations to senior colleagues on the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with
specifications and regulatory requirements.

My performance:

The projects I am involved in, provide me with plenty oportunities to learn from my colleagues
on what is important when evaluating the quality of the products we work with. I also actively
engage on brainstorming with and providing ideas to my senior colleagues, I take their feedback
into account and in their absence (such as when they are on holidays) I take responsability for the
projects based on what they have taught me.

 Verantwoordelijkheid
Engineering Solutions Design - Contribute to the development of and implement feasibility testing of
proposed engineering solutions to provide feedback and data to validate the design.

My performance:

I contribute with my colleagues on the proposal of engineering solutions and I take responsability
for carrying out the actions needed for the implementation of the engineering solutions. I ask for
support when necessary.

 Verantwoordelijkheid
Engineering Standards Specification - Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior
colleagues to support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and the evaluation of the
effectiveness of those standards.

My performance:

There have been situations i which I have noticed the control plan for an article is not correct or is
missing something. In those cases I have spoken to either a senior colleague or a product manager
and with their guidance I have requested for a change or addition on the control plan.

 Verantwoordelijkheid
Process Design Engineering - Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior
colleagues to support the analysis of information, the specification of the methods, process steps,
My performance:

I am very involved in the ongoing project of the XY hinge damper, which includes improvement
of current methods and process steps. We are still working on reducing the amount of rejected
parts and improving the issues we see with the parts. (Me and Marcel Distelbrink, Antoine and
Andy are also highly involved.)

and the plant, machinery and equipment required to design and continuously improve manufacturing
or materials processes and process systems.
 Verantwoordelijkheid
Testing - Use product specifications to design test procedures and standards.

My performance:

At the moment I have taken the responsability from Peter, of testing what the minimum time
required to have the same ESD value for an e-pin after a force has been applied on it is.

Competences:

Analyzes numerical and verbal data and other types of information
Divides the information into components, patterns and relationships
Seeks additional information or a better understanding of a problem

Comes up with workable solutions for various problems
Understands how a particular issue can be part of a larger whole

Competence

I think that there is a lot I need to improve on and learn from my colleagues.

Analyse: To a certain extend I can analyse data and see the patterns in an issue. However, I
believe that my dexterity with the usage of analysis programs (minitab) could still largely
improve.

Effective communication: I ask questions and try to phrase the conversation in a way that I can
easily communicate a problem to someone that does not have a technical background. However, I
may sometimes need to restart the explanation. Due to my ADHD sometimes I go too fast
through my explanations sometimes.

Quality of decisions: I believe that during the time my colleagues were on holiday I was able to
take good independent decisions with respect to questions of what to do from cleanroom,
purchasing and production. However, I think I still have a lot to learn in order to take even better
decisions. I am personally not yet completely satisfied with my own level of knowledge.
Managing complexity: I can to some extend understand, rearrange and solve complex issues.
However, there had been times when I have confused a symptom for a root cause. The guidance
of my colleagues has greatly helped in these cases. I still have a lot to learn.

Entrepreneurial and commercial thinking: This is not one of my interest and I have learned only
about the price calculation of a product based on cost price of monoparts and manufacturing time.
However, I have no knowledge of competitors, market trends, etc.

Presenting and communicating: I try to achieve the point mentioned in this competence and I
prepare as much as possible, however, there are times in which I may speak too fast or may need
to repeat an explanation. There is a lot of room for improvement.
