PERFORMANCE TASK # 1
Hypothesis Testing
INSTRUCTION:
1. Group yourself by 6 members. Assign a leader.
2. Each group will be assigned to the respective subject area to investigate/survey. No groups will be
allowed to have the same subject area. Otherwise, their score for the activity will be divided among the
groups.
3. Gather the final grades of all classmates for the assigned subject area.
4. List down all the gathered data for documentation.
5. Compute the mean grade and standard deviation of the whole class based on the gathered data.
6. The group will be considered the sample of the whole class.
7. Compute your group's mean, and standard deviation.
8. Formulate your own concept based on the assigned subject area.
9. After formulating your statement, state the null and the alternative hypotheses in words and in symbols.
10. Choose a significance level.
11. Determine suitable test statistics and specify directionality.
12. Calculate the critical value based on the significance level and test directionality, using statistical tables.
13. Solve for relevant statistics using appropriate formulas.
14. Make informed decisions on accepting or rejecting the null hypothesis based on computed statistics.
15. Provide a comprehensive analysis, interpreting computed mean and standard deviation in context, and
discussing implications and limitations.
16. Creatively present the activity, including all necessary details, and submit a well-organized PDF
presentation.
17. After the activity, the group leader will provide a peer evaluation of the group attached to the submitted
output. The grades will be dependent on the participation of the members.
18. Deadline: Complete and submit all activities by May 17, 2024.
