Description: The focus of this course is to cover the steps associated with rebuilding a used Single Piston (SP) HydraCrowd™ cylinder.
This includes cylinder manifold removal and installation, and cylinder disassembly and assembly procedures. Also covered are safety,
facility and tool requirements, components identification, cylinder seal tests, cylinder manifold test, and salvage and reuse guidelines.
Description: This course is designed to prepare participants to Remove and Install the LatchFree Link on the Cat Electric Rope Shovel by
performing the correct steps to remove the link and camshaft, then disassemble, assemble and re-install the link and camshaft. Trou-
bleshooting, assessing for salvage and reuse, and performing a follow-up check is also required to ensure a properly serviced bucket
link. Participants must demonstrate their knowledge of and ability to perform the processes to pass this course.
At the completion of this course, participants will be able to locate and identify link and camshaft components. Participants will
demonstrate how to troubleshoot the link, properly prepare for the link work procedures, remove and install the link and camshaft,
disassemble and assemble the link and camshaft, perform a follow-up check after installation.
Participants will demonstrate knowledge of these procedures by performing hands-on tasks following a checklist and using reference
material.

Attendees receive a Certificate of Completion.

This course is designed as an evaluation of the experienced electric rope shovel operator skill set. Certification is earned through demonstration
of skills by completing established operational tasks to Caterpillar standards. Program ensures operation and application efficiency by machine
family in a number of applications.
Successful completion of a Level II class is a prerequisite.
Participants need to demonstrate the ability to conduct a thorough walkaround inspection, pass a safety quiz with a score of 100% and a written
knowledge assessment with a minimum score of 80%. They must also complete the required competencies (in-the-iron) established for safe and
efficient electric rope shovel operation.
Participants that meet these requirements earn a Certificate of Registry. (Participants that do NOT meet these requirements will receive a
certificate of participation.)
Program Duration
Typically 1 to 2 days per machine family, up to a maximum of 4 days for complex applications. Includes testing and in-the-iron activities.
Cancellation Fee

Scope of Class: This 7495 IGBT Electrical Training Course is offered to IGBT Standard Shovel customers. It is assumed that the people in the
class will be familiar with electrical shovels and basic electrical fundamentals. This class introduces the student to the technology as applied on
the standard IGBT shovels
IMPORTANT NOTICE: This Training is included in each machine purchase and includes slots for four (4) students. A minimum of 4 students
must be enrolled for a class to be held. If the mining customer opts to split the 4 students between multiple trainings, there is no guarantee
that the class can be held at the requested time. Other participants will be sought to fill the remaining open training slots, but If the minimum
of 4 cannot be reached, the class must be postponed until such time as the minimum number of participants can be met.
