MARBEN CDR CONVERTER

TECHNICAL OVERVIEW
MARBEN CDR Converter is designed to speed up your developments by simplifying the processing of your CDR files.
It is a generic command line solution that converts any ASN.1 CDR file into a suitable text file (XML or CSV) without
requiring any deep knowledge about CDR and ASN.1. Developed in Java, it runs on any system with a Java Runtime
Environment installed. The tool is flexible and easy to use thanks to a simple command line interface. It encompasses a
Converter and the MARBEN ASN.1 Compiler to support newer or changed CDR descriptions. All CDR files encoded
using ASN.1 BER encoding rules are supported in accordance to the latest ASN.1 BER standards.
CDR Converter is based on MARBEN ASNSDK TCE-Java decoding engine which is memory and time optimized to
provide the best efficiency.
Two output text file formats are supported:
- XML (eXtended Markup Language).
- CSV (Comma Separated Values), records are on lines and fields are separated with commas. If the field is
delimited with double-quotes, comma is preserved.
The CDR Converter generates the XML and CSV files based on mapping rules defined in a configuration file. Default
mapping rules are automatically generated the first time and can be easily tuned to generate various XML or CSV output
files. For instance, you can generate an output file containing only some specific fields of the call data records.
MARBEN CDR Converter provides many features to speed up its usage and integration, like the ability to convert
multiple files in one command or by providing a powerful automatic error detection and recovery that generates error
reports.
The CDR Converter is the easiest way to convert ASN.1 data from network switches or any other BER encoded file to
XML or CSV.
