6) What documents are required for admission to first year and DSE?
Answer: All original documents are required. For more specific details on document

13) Students who didn't appear for MHT-CET or JEE (in the year seeking admission), can
they take admission for Engineering?
Answer: No. The MHT-CET/ JEE Score is compulsory for taking admission in
Engineering.
14) Can a student who has completed Diploma, take admission in First Year Engineering
if he is not getting DSY admission?
Answer: Yes, but only if he has appeared for MHT-CET and/or JEE of the current
year.
17) When will the institute return my original documents collected at the time of
admission?
Answer: Your original documents will be retained by the Institute until the
completion of the first year of engineering. We will however give you an
acknowledgement for your original documents.
21) Does college take extra efforts for Students who are interested in post-graduation?
Answer: Yes, Each department conducts expert lectures and seminars, motivates and
guides students for appearing for GATE, Toffel, GRE etc. We also helps our students
for recommendation in foreign universities.
23) Can other then Computer branch students appear for software placement drive?
Answer: Yes. Nowadays many software companies have requirement of students of
other branches of Engineering and they allow other then Computer branch students to
appear for software placement drive.
26) How far is the college from Pune Station, Bus Stand and Airport?
Answer: From Pune station, we are about 0.5 kilometre, Bus stand is 1 km and from
the Airport it is 7 kilometres. The college is in the heart of the city and is well
connected by road, train and long distance bus services.
37) What are the measures taken against ragging in the institute ?
Answer: We adhere to very strict Anti-Ragging Policy. We have Anti Ragging
Committee and Anti Ragging Squad who see that no Ragging activity is there in the
college and hostels. Any student caught misbehaving with his/her peers will face
serious consequences.
39) What are the seats reservation norms for the admission?
Answer: The reservation of seats and eligibility Criteria for Admission are as per
DTE Rules
65% seats are reserved for Maharashtra State candidates having domicile
certificate of Maharashtra. The details of domicile can be checked by visiting
Website : www.mahacet.org under admission type. These seats are filled on
the basis of MHT-CET score only.
15% seats are reserved for All India quota. These seats are filled on the basis
of JEE score and the candidate from Maharashtra and Outside Maharashtra
State can apply for admission under this quota. Domicile certificate of
Maharashtra state is not required for applying under this quota.
● 20% Seats are filled through Institute level quota and both Maharashtra and
Outside Maharashtra State candidate can apply for admission under this quota.

● Candidate should have passed HSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra
State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent
examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics are compulsory and
optional subjects are Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology & Technical
Vocational. Choose any one from optional subject and secured a minimum of
50% marks (45% in case of Backward Class candidates).
● After Centralise Admission Process (CAP) if any seats are vacant then such
seats are filled at the institute level under Vacant seat round as per the
admission procedure.
● GOI nominee and J & K migrants have a quota of one seat in each
department. They have to apply to Directorate of Technical Education (DTE),
Maharashtra State for release of seats.
