Scanned images can be printed (once or multiple times) to the connected
imagePROGRAF TX Series printer.
4. Scan to PC
Using SmartWorks MFP Software Version 6.0 the Z36 scanner can scan
images to the Z36 All-In-One Controller.
Scan to PC supports multiple file types (PDF, Multi Page PDF, JPEG, TIFF,
PDF/A, DWF).
2. Tabletop support
The scanner has tabletop legs that allow it to be operated on a desk.
Tabletop operation may be more comfortable for the end-user when
scanning large amounts of documents.
3. Touch Screen
The Touch Screen has an improved user interface that is easier to operate
for the un-trained walk up user.

can be printed (once or multiple times) to the connected
imagePROGRAF iPF printer.
b. Scan to PC
The Lei scanner can communicate with multiple network connected
PCs running the Scan App Lei. The scanner assigns numbers to the
PCs running the Scan App Lei. The end-user can choose which PC to
send a scan job on a per scan basis.
Scan to PC supports multiple file types (TIFF/JPG/PDF).
c. Scan to Cloud
Similar method as Scan to PC however, the Cloud Connection must be

• Costs can be assigned to the ink and paper to determine expenses
based on the "Cost of goods"
• Individual ink tanks have their own costs associated with them, as well
as a variety of different paper types
• The end-user can input a variable cost that will be added to the total of
the print cost
• The data can be exported as a .csv file format
C. Certification
The successful completion of the Online Training Course(s) and passing of the
final assessment exam are required to sell this product.

• imagePROGRAF TM-300
• imagePROGRAF TM-200
F. Course Equipment
• Windows workstation (Windows 7 or higher)
• Microsoft Internet Explorer v11.0 or higher
• Applicable accessories (hardware and software)
G. Service Materials
The materials required for the imagePROGRAF TM-Series Training Program
are listed in the table below.
IMPORTANT
• Canon recommends an additional standard 120V/15A NEMA 5-15 outlet
for service tools, such as a laptop computer or vacuum that may be used
when servicing or configuring the machine.
• Use only dedicated and properly grounded outlets for the imagePROGRAF
printer main unit. It is also strongly suggested to use dedicated and
properly grounded outlets for each optional accessory. Do not use
extension cords. The ground connection serves to provide the internal
electronics with a reference voltage. Faulty or poor ground sources will
cause this reference voltage to fall into a range that no longer serves as a
reliable reference voltage. The internal logic and programming of the
imagePROGRAF printers will not perform reliably because there is an
insufficient difference between the internal operating signal voltages and
the poor ground reference signal. A qualified electrician can measure and
provide the ground source that the imagePROGRAF printers or any
computer controlled office equipment requires.
• Before installation, confirm that all necessary receptacles are available.
• Phase converters and step down transformers are not supported.

I. Remote Services
Remote Services are systems, tools and best practices that Canon USA
provides to dealers to help maximize efficiency, possibly prevent site visits or
help prepare for necessary visits.
For more information about Remote Services go to the Canon eSupport Center
Web site, reference the Tech Support Tab and then the Remote Services sub
tab.
1. imageWARE Remote
The imageWARE Remote service collects meter readings (area counter
data, duty counter data and service part counter data) and service alerts
(alarm, jam, and error codes) from Canon devices and third-party devices.
The imagePROGRAF TM-series printers, with the embedded Remote
Diagnostic System enabled, transmits meter readings and service alerts
directly to the UGW (Universal Gateway) database.
The optional Remote Diagnostic System 14 (RDS) Plug-in to the
imageWARE Enterprise Management Console retrieves meter readings
select service alerts and supplies usage data from up to 1,000 Canon
printers, Canon multifunction devices and third-party devices utilizing the
standard printer Management Information Base (MIB). The RDS Plug-in
transmits the collected data directly to the UGW database. In addition, the
plug-in can register devices to the UGW database.
The dealership can retrieve the meter reading and service alert data via
the UGW Web Portal or by using optional integration applications to
communicate the data to your dealership’s back-end device management
system.
imageWARE Remote provides the following labor cost reduction benefits:
• Retrieve meter readings for billing, which reduces the need for an
on-site meter read or a phone call to the customer to read the meters.
• Anticipate part requirements by monitoring the imagePROGRAF
TM-Series printer meter readings. Monitoring the printer status, the
service technician can anticipate when a part requires replacement and
have the part available during the next scheduled service visit.
14
The imageWARE Enterprise Management Console and Remote Diagnostic System Plug-in are available at no charge. For
more information, refer to the Technical Publication TP10 360 available from the Canon eSupport Center Website.
2. UGW SnapShot
The UGW SnapShot tool consolidates commonly used data from the UGW
into a format accessible from an Internet capable device (mobile phone,
tablet, or a personal computer).
Service technicians can utilize this tool to check device status prior to a
service call.
Refer to the Canon eSupport Center Web site, reference the Tech Support
Tab and then the SnapShot sub tab for more information about UGW
SnapShot and to access to the tool.
K. Consumable Parts
Consumable parts are parts having a limited life that will be reached during a
customer’s specific machine operation, and should then be replaced as
needed. Examples of consumable parts include, but are not limited to, the linear
scale and carriage unit.
An estimated consumable parts list is available in the tables below to assist in
the initial parts/supplies planning. A consumable part’s life expectancy is
directly related to the printer usage factors such as paper size, paper quality,
environment, usage application, and machine maintenance. Therefore,
consumable parts do not have a warranty, and Canon USA cannot guarantee
a minimum life.
Note: All consumable parts shown in the table below are for reference
purposes only, and are subject to change without notice.

Based on Heavyweight Coated Paper HG 145 g/m2, Photo illustration, standard mode, Image Duty: 12.5% × 3 color (CMY) +
6.8% (MBK) + 5.7% (BK) = 50% Duty. The estimated life is subject to change depending upon many factors including, without
limitation the print mode, operating condition, type of image printed and customer handling of the equipment.
N. Maintenance Kit
The imagePROGRAF TM- Series devices do not have a Maintenance Kit.
16
The estimated life varies depending on usage status.
IMPORTANT
Before purchasing the imagePROGRAF TM-Series. The Dealer/Authorized Servicer
may choose to install the imagePROGRAF TM-Series device and provide
support/service by offering their own maintenance agreement. If the
