T play the song “Hello, how are you?” and get S to sing along. (LINK IN PP)
Warm up
T divide the class into 2 groups, 1 group sings the question part “ How are you?”,
(10 mins)
the other sings and acts the answer part “ I’m good/ great……”.
Then they change the role.
T point to yourself and say “My name’s ……” / “ I’m …….. years old.”
Then ask S “What’s your name?”/ ” How old are you?”
He/ She answers in full sentence “My name’s…….” / ”I’m …… years old.”
Lead in
(10 mins) S may confuse “ How are you” and “How old are you?” so T need to explain that
clearly.
T put S practice those structures in pair, go around and check their pronunciation
especially with the “s” sound.
Listen, point
T introduce the character’s name by saying “ This is Rosy.” Then ask “ Who’s

T play the song “Hello, What’s your name?” and get S to sing along. (LINK IN PP)

pronunciation.
