Shopping
Be able to afford – I can pay for that
Be in stock – there is enough to sell of that product
Be on sale – the product is cheaper that it normally is
Come out – new product or product that just come to the store
Get a refund – when you return a product and you want your money back
Good value – the product is not expensive
Have a guarantee – the product has a support from the Company
Look for a bargain – look for cheaper deals
Reasonably priced – the product has a good Price
Take/send something back – return something
Verb patterns
•When two verbs are used together
in a sentence the second verb takes
either the gerund or infinitive form.
Verb patterns
• Verbs that are followed by gerunds (verbs + ing)
Enjoy, mind, keep, admit, recommend, suggest

• Verbs that are followed by (to+infinitive)


Want, hope, agree, offer, promise, need, refuse, threaten, plan

• Verbs that have different pattern and no change in meaning


Start, begin, continue, like, love

• Verbs that can have a different pattern but a change in meaning


Stop, Remember/Forget, try

• Verbs that need an (object before to+infinitive)


Advice, ask, invite, remind, tell, warn

• Verbs like make=force and let=allow are followed by an object + infinitive

Remember there are other patterns
