8 7

1. Corresponding Angles: ( ∠1,∠6), (∠ 2, ∠5 ), (∠ 4,∠ 8 ), (∠3, ∠7)

Note: Corresponding angles are always equal.

2. Alternate interior angles: (∠ 3, ∠6) and (∠ 4,∠ 5 )

Note: Alternate interior angles are always equal.

3. Alternate exterior angles: ( ∠1, ∠7) 𝑎𝑛𝑑 ( ∠2, ∠8)

Note: Alternate exterior angles are equal.

4. Co-interior angles: (∠4, ∠6) 𝑎𝑛𝑑 ( ∠3, ∠5)

Note: Co-interior angles are supplementary.
∠4 + ∠6 = 180° and ∠3 + ∠5 = 180°

Q. No 3. Give the measures of each angle a, b, c, d, e, f and g in the figure given
below:

a 55°
b c

d f
g e
𝑎 + 55° = 180° ( ∵ Linear pair)

𝑎 = 180° − 55° = 125°

b = 55° ( Vertically opposite angles)

c =a = 125° ( Vertically opposite angles)

d=a ( Corresponding angles)

∴ d = 125°

f = 55° ( Corresponding angles)

e = d= 125° ( Vertically opposite angles)

g = f = 55° ( Vertically opposite angles)

Q.No. 9 In the following figure, AB|| CL. Find ∠𝐴𝐶𝐿 𝑎𝑛𝑑 ∠𝐿𝐶𝐷.

B C D

∠𝐴𝐶𝐿 = 80° ( 𝐴𝑙𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑙𝑒𝑠)

∠𝐿𝐶𝐷 = 30° ( 𝐶𝑜𝑟𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑝𝑜𝑛𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑙𝑒𝑠)
