Programming and settings procedure for S3 –series tractors 29.07.2014

For programming the AGCO EDT service tool must be used.

ALL OPERATIONS MUST BE PERFORMED IN THE FOLLOWING ORDER.

OTHERWISE SOME CALIBRATIONS MAY FAIL OR ADJUSTING THE TRACTOR
MAY BE UNNECESSARILY COMPLICATED.

A1 When you program the B1 When you fit a new C1 When you fit a new engine
tractor control unit control unit
(control units not changed) (Except an engine control unit)

2 CHECK THE LABEL CODES

1. Check the label codes under Configurations tab in the EDT.
Original label codes can be found from the sticker on a back
side of the fuse box cover, on the right rear corner of the cab.
Compare the original label codes to the ones in the control units.
2. Write down changes, if one of the label codes in the tractor
is different from the one in the sticker.
Note! The label codes should be the same, as in the sticker,
if no optional equipment has been after-fitted to the tractor.

Software downloading
Always use the newest software versions. If there is an outdated version of the software
in the tractor, update the software. Tractor functions and calibration functions are always
improved on the new software versions.

Before software update it is recommended to check the current situation from Network
Summary page. The blue arrow is symbolizing if there is newer software available.

With Export to Excel function it is possible to save the information to the desktop. Another
possibility is to take a screen shot picture with a camera tool.

Note! Before flash download, make sure the diagnostic terminal battery is fully charged
and/or the terminal is plugged into an AC power source.

Saving Label Codes and Table of constants with EDT

It is recommended to save the label codes and tables of constants before

software updates, even though it is very unlikely that the codes are lost during
the update.

If they are lost, however, the only way to set the values is to do it manually.
It is not possible to download them directly from the saved file.

The control units in which the label codes are

1. DCC3 Label Code

2. Transmission Labe Code
3. Parklock Label Code (only in S2)
4. Label Code of the A5-ISO controller
5. Linkage Etiquette Code
6. Module of lights label code

The control units in which the tables of constants are

1. Table of constants of the DCC

2. Table of constants for the Parklock (only in S2)
3. Table of constants of the A5-ISO controller
4. Table of constants for the lifting
5. Table of constants for the suspended cab

Version 4

Software downloading with EDT

Pre-conditions: Turn the ignition ON (do not start the tractor!) and engage the Park brake.

Under the Software Flash tab in EDT there are Production Software Package and Previous
Software Version available. There are separate software packages for Armrest, TwinTrac,
Steering valve and Engine. Select the package and click Start button.

Production Software Package includes software for all controllers excluding tractor terminal
and armrest. It is strongly recommended to use software package downloading.
7
Version 4

Armrest Release Package includes software and parameter files for tractor terminal and
armrest controller. It is possible to use single row flash or package downloading.

Note! In a case single downloading is used make sure that both software and parameter
files are downloaded to control unit. Restart the tractor after the armrest update.

TwinTrac Release Package as well as Steering Valve and Engine packages contain only
one file for control unit. Select the package and follow the instructions given by EDT.

Note! In Steering Valve flash the WAS and SVS calibrations will be done in the same.
Note! Before starting the engine software flash turn the ignition ON (do not start the tractor).

Version 4

NOTE! Check all label codes after software update!!

If there is a need to do changes the right way to do that is to set a wrong value first and
after that select a correct label code:

a) according to sticker in a plastic fuse box cover

b) according to saved excel-file from desktop

After pressing the OK button the EDT is writing and saving the new label code
values into the control unit.

In order to program or update the Auto-Guide (System 150 / AG3000 / C1000) use separate
instructions given by EDT.
